Animist TL feedback - bugged shrooms

Anis didn't get any go aheads to address our class issues in this round of feedback, but one thing people might be interested is:

Issue Description:
Geometry Voids occasionally lead to unkillable shrooms that can fire back. This gives the Animist class a bad stigma, despite any small model char/pet being in the spot having similar effect.

Mythic Response:
Please report bad pathing locations (voids, as you call them) so that our bug team can investigate. Thanks!

As you can see, animists were the ones to put this to Mythic for fixing, and it does rely on people reporting locations where bugs occur.

It's also the job of the animists to not abuse the bugs, but hey presto, they still do

It's everyone's job to report bugs.

If you look at the other TL reports, you'll see they typically stick to trying to get class improvements put through.

At least he's trying to get them fixed, some help from Mythic would have been nice rather than a disguised "tabled - need specifics" style answer.

Only NOW are there going to investigate? No, not even now, AFTER they get will get "reports"... Pathetic.

Yes, but the TL can't run around casting 1200000000000 shrooms at every keep to find every bugged spot, so hardly his job.

Same reasoning you could say Sorc TL should sort it out, as a sorc whines most about it (Manisch).

Then again, then the sorc TL would have to fix bloody everything, including guard abuse exploit :<

Must mean I'm clean. I never been killed by you and that's saying something since I've been killed by almost everyone.

In pretty well all cases the ani's don't know the bugged spots - if they did it would be easy to report them.

This has been said countless times but still it does not sink in with some peeps - there is no marker which says 'casting here makes shrooms unkillable' and as an ani you do not know if your shrooms are unkillable or have just been left alone.

Best peeps to report the spots are those who cannot target them but far easier to come on Freddies and moan.

Erm... this moan has also been said before (numerous times) and GOA have confirmed casting on oil pots does not break CoC or any rules or represent bug abuse.

Actually getting a ground target to cast on oil pots is extremely risky if the defenders know what they are doing.

Anyone else want to come up with the same old moans so we can repeat the same old responses ???

They have always said that if you bother to look, not just jump on the flame bandwagon as usual.

Have no clue about what bugs ur talking about, but then again i seldom spam shrooms as it's too damn boring. More fun sneaking up on someone and cast 3 bombs and start LT him when first bomb hits. :D

Hoho can't believe someone still thinks this is bug abuse. When Mythic changed shrooms so they could not be cast on battlements (first patch post NF, we got it bundled with NF in europe), they deliberately left the controllable able to be cast up there.

You're just lucky there are no decent full verdant anis playing hib/pryd or the oil pot area would be dangerous for more than just the oil :p

Eh? Were you level 1 or something? :p And even then I think it caps at 800!

Also, Animists aren't bug abusing, they're just testing where the shrooms bug up! :touch:

No, i was 50. Fully ToAd and spellcrafted gear, and up comes this paladin killing machine in epic and hits me in the neck with his jambya for 1954 damage, and im like: AMAHGAD! So i deleted that char, and remade it all from the start. Same gear, same spec, same name, same guild... Noticed later that night when i was looking at my screenshots that i didnt have the necklace on. Not sure, but it might had saved me that time!

Yes, i test where my shrooms gets bugged the most as soon as i get some spare time, and write the locs up, so i can set GTs there next time there is a fight. That is my way of fighting. Ill do anything to win a fight, just as a mercenary uses his dirty tricks!

You know when I write down locs for bugged shrooms I find it SUXOR that I cant set groundtarget with an X,Y loc!!! It´s allmost impossible to get the same groundtarget twice as it is, I wrote mythic about this and hope they will adress it in an upcoming patch.

"/macro Iwillwinnow /groundtarget X,Y,Z"

Theese days I just have a groundtarget macro that sets the GT 900 units ahead and I have no idea if that is a bug spot or not, which suxor, because I wanna win allways also!

Ill show you with Farhach when i get home tonight. The trick is to actually use a groundtarget that the game cant find, and the shrooms will automaticly land on a spot thats within range, but still impossible for mids/albs to hit!

After reading some of the reports I’ve come to the conclusion that Mythic haven’t played the game for at least 12 months.

Their apparent lack of knowledge about certain bugs, mostly involving pets and pathing is astounding.

It does seem that way. I'm always surprised at their TL report feedback. I think they might play a narrow range of chars in a narrow range of situations.

after i've played against animists I gotta say I really dont like the class in RVR at all, should just be redesigned totally..

nothing like rounding a corner and hear a massive stack of shrooms start nuking, run far as hell and still the bloody things nuke, way outta LoS. Hated it.
