Animated gif D/L

I wanna string 20 or 30 DVD screen capture jpgs together to make an animated avatar.

Anyone recommend a free really easy to use (idiot friendly) program please ?

I don't have Adobe Photoshop

Yes it is actually a free gfx package not some dodgy stuff - though i did get a semi-bollocking for downloading it in work before i explained what it was. I haven't tried the animation bit for it yet though
