Sad to say it but that's excess skin there... Well done to the guy, alot of people end up just digging themselves into an early grave even after a wake up call like that. Very well done to him for loosing the weight.

Good on him for loosing the weight but he's body is already fucked! He may have changed his habits and given himself a few more years but most of the damage has already been done.

Looks like a completely different person, I heard the interview yesterday on Radio Five live. IIRC he said he wanted to get down to about 16 stone and leave it at that. So a little way to go yet.....
