It certainly is. I only renewed my subs at the beginning of the month to get my sorc to 50. I've done that now and had some fun with her, but I cannot escape the feeling that the endgame is stale now. The news that the much-needed RvR expansion is delayed until after the ToA expansion (Q4 2003 planned) is bad news and so the game offers limited appeal now. It feels like a case of "been there, done that".
Lots of things frustrate me about the game now, like caster survivability, SC and resists, disparities between classes and realm abilities and the bane of buffbots (I've never had a buffbot). I don't want to dwell on these though, as I'll just get worked up. Knowing that made me realise it's time to go.
Thinking about the impending releases of other MMORPGs makes me think that our server may well get a lot less busy soon, a discouraging prospect.
On the whole it's been tremendous fun, albeit time-consuming and highly addictive. However, it's time to move along I believe.
I'll probably be popping in once or twice before the subs expire in a fortnight, mainly to give away some items I know people will appreciate (Oil Drenched Cleaning Rag, for example
), but I'll be targetting friends first.
I will not be selling my account or giving it away.
So goodbye to my friends ingame and /salute to those mids and hibs I have had some memorable encounters with.
