People who are not in daoc will login from irc.
This gives unfair advantage to the defenders.
These people would NOT be ingame to defend if no1 says things on irc.
Don't think about using the excuse "They are all ingame if on irc anyway" - because this is a bullshit responce, you could use alliences if they are already ingame.

ah yes but you could also use mIRC to ask for more people to help you attack, that would otherwise be mowing the lawn, counting beans or watching paint dry.
