No, it's a forum. They have rules like life.

If you want freedom of speech, go find a field in the middle of nowere and start talking. Otherwise you wont get it :(

Freedom of speech is an illusion. The only way you can get freedom of speech is to talk to yourself so no-onelse can hear it :p

Basically, Tilda is fair to say no because complete freedom on this forum means that this site could very well be closed down because of any random person posting something linking to illegal activities.

As sad as it sounds, our freedom imposed by the government is becoming less and less as political correctness becomes worse and worse. We are no more free then those who lived under the reign of Saddam Hussein in that respect, the only difference of course being that our punishments are MUCH less severe then anyone over in Iraq would have had it.

Have I gone off on a tangent? :p I think I had a point but I lost it :(

it was mainly about kirennia saying our lost of freedom is on par with iraq but with less punishment.

i dont think its fair to say that. yes we arnt as free as everyone thinks, but the freedoms we dont have are nothing like what people didnt have in iraq.
i would say, the freedoms they dont have is more harsh than the freedoms we dont have.

i was going to say that, but i wont now. the thread may turn into a pile of shit and big arguments about iraq :p

I didn't mean we were as confined as people are in Iraq, I was just saying that the 'freedom' we apparently have, isn't all together there. One wrong word to the wrong person and you can be put into jail. A completely 'free' forum could potentially get the freddyshouse owners in a lot of trouble.

I used to be part of a large community on another forum to do with game making software when i was younger, and in particular, one program there for example had been made in Japanese and not released in english. The english translation of the program was illegal and when someone posted a link to this, they would be banned because not long after the forum had been created, someone did this and the owners of the site got a warning that they'd be shut down if they continued to allow links to illegal software.

I can't see goa continuing to endorse FH if links to 'radar' programs and the such were posted there, nor if there was porn, arms trading links or anything like that ;)

That's the point I was trying to make, although I went a bit off on a tangent about true freedom in the world :p
