i dont see any link in the tracks you put on youtube. what you are doing is no different to the people that stick stuff on kazaa or whatever. whether you have permission or not is a moot point you are still making the tracks available for free to those who want them. if you want to be the crusader for the legal music groups you should at least provide links/URLs to where you can buy the music. it may surprise you that most youtube users are not FH users let alone FH users that read your sig.

I am trying to get people into dance music because unlike "pop" music we don't get meida coverage.

The only reason you are trying to argue every point with such conviction is because I am not your e-friend, and for some reason a grown man has taken to following me round a internet forum contesting every point I make accross multiple threads, its quite sad but amusing that I annoy you enough for you to bother. according to your not allowed to download/listen to music without paying or if its from say limewire, kazaa etc, but if you shove it on youtube its fine?, isnt that same as downloading it without paying?

I couldnt really give a toss if people download that commercial pop music but you are wrong, sorry to dent you delicate e-ego. ofc there are several differences between kazaa and youtube, one is p2p service and the other is a video hosting site. you are still offering tracks for free where the owner of the material makes nothing.

Raven, you completely missed his point.
Getting copyrighted material from a subs based newsgroup = someone else making money from the music without the owner's permission and without them seeing any of the money that by rights they've earned.
Same with putting up on a torrent or p2p network, the producers are losing control over the distribution of their music.
The copyright holders have the right to decide how their material is distributed and if they agree it can be put on YouTube then that's their prerogative. It's quite a good compromise because it means people can check it out for free but I very much doubt anyone uses YouTube as a music player, so if anyone likes it enough they can then go to audiojelly or wherever and buy it legally. It's not about making money from every play, the important thing is that no-one else is illegally making money from their work and that they can control how it's distributed.

i do understand his point, however if he does want to help "spread the word" he should put a link on there as to where people can get hold of it, which i imagine the owners would insist on if gamah had got their permission. no. i think all he wants to do is try and show what a cool dude irl! he is for listening to something "different" and then shit talking those that dont listen to it. i was playing devils advocate for the most part anyway.

Download from limewire = not paying for it.
Record from youtube = still not paying for it.

If I wanted to, I could put on my sound system, get a good sound from your youtube songs and bang, I have them on my phone. It's entirely the same just a different method.

and you didnt bother to reply to my earlier point it seems. you reported the previous thread for copyright infringement. being a big music mofo that you are id assume youd know all about the copyright act. there was nothing in the thread that infringed on copyright material so why did you report it for that?
