an interesting thing i have noticed

whilst PA`ing many mids and hibs..killed a fair few 1 or 2 hits..missed a few PA`s shit happens

PA`d plenty of mids/hibs wearing epic armour ..tanks,casters people with PBT or normal bladeturn whatever

now for some reason 5 times i`ve tried PA`ing different Nobly pride people all level 50`s ...guess what? the PA`s missed..

i hit with the sword but the PA missed...

just something i`ve noticed recently possibly just really really bad luck or something... hmm

i`ll carry out some more research and get back to you

failed all 7 times.

I then realised I wasn't using backstab at all

Aye alot of this is due to the servers lag, dunno if they have somekind of prediction system I knwo nothing about it, but for example when you are mezzed, if you strafe, your attackers see you phsically move location, if they stick and attack 'too far away' etc.

I saw a screenshot recently (maybe I'll go look for it if I can be bothered) of a nightshade (I think it was Luon) who was showing a fight that he lost. But in that screenshot he performed PA and hit his opponent but it didn't say that he hit/missed/spontaneously self-combusted or whatever. Just something like *You begin to do perforate artery* *you hit for xxxx* no success or failure message.

Is this what is happening to you? I thought it was odd.

Could been a intercepted PA? Msg you get from that looks a bit strange.

if you read the SB Teamleader report <in lack of the infil doing his job>, he complains about PA landing being slightly buggy, and less than acceptable in laggy circumstances.

I've had it with other styles (obviously less critical ones) fighting monsters. You claim to start the style, but attack without the style. It's always appeared slightly lag related. It seems to happen when the attack is very shortly after starting the style, as if you go into attack mode, then the server has you attack, then the style is actually attempted. I always open with an uppercut (yep - not a veteran!), rather than hitting F6 first, but about 10-20% of the time, my first blow is unstyled. This is probably the same issue.

This happens when you press the style button but arent in melee range so you go into melee mode but dont perform the style, 0.00001 sec later you are in melee range and get an unstyled hit.. n00bs do that a lot :>

RVR != PVE

Just keep moving/strafing around is the counter to PA.

Its not only counter to PA. Its a great way to provide opponent with :
Target too far away for nukers
Target not in view for fighters
Made styled hits unstyled etc.
You just need a little lag and strafe.

PS. And commie to "own" me you should've played something like buffblade or fighter type (/em blows kiss to Emma ).
