an idea?

I dont know if this is possible. But it might be fun for us free and bitching customers to have a server where we can control what maps (and what order) a server has.
I know people are saying put other maps on, and i know about the custom map server (damn good tooooo). But I dont know if the server controllers know whats going on in EF country.

oh I aint saying everybody should have acces but there are good people out here that would like to help

i know what you mean,ive been playing the game for 2 years
now and the norm was people would leave when the space
map would be next,but ive noticed the last few months
its occruing with more and more maps.
i know voy1,voy2 spyglass and geo are the most
popular as for the speed players they are best.
also LOADS of opeople saying how fed up they are with same
maps,maybe a good idea for bw to start off new forum with
a public vote on what maps should stay and what maps to
bring in.
i know this is going to sound so bloody cheesy
but when jedi II was on verge of coming out a good number
of people said EF would die,but now jedi is out whats on
offer? 4 poxy ctf maps and 2 of them have more mistakes
than even a map made by me :O)
i really think given a chance EF can still
hold its own out there as the playablity is 2nd to none.
it just needs a breath of fresh air.
lets face it f its refreshed thats going to help BW out too in long
run (and nope thats not me buttkissing BW)thats me
seeing unless you have a face lift you soon get stale.

i think this i sa good idea... but we need BW to at least get some really good maps, not crap ones, and maps that have good playability on them in the servers!!! s that when people finally see that they dont have the map in that cycle...they will get it!

one map that r0x is ctf_mpteam3 or something like that, converted from quake3!!! and it has jump pads and the lot, looks gr8 and wud make bloody good ctf games... why cant BW put these in between voy1 and 2? or geo and spyglass etc?

also...i brought out some maps for ctf peeps might like?

ctf_voy3, ctf_corrosion, ctf_mas1.... any1 like?

the unsung people of EF

i know a lot has been said about maps.
but only a thought since EF came out i dont know about the rest of you guys but ive been amazed at the skins, done for EF.
if Ef on BW is going to get a revamp i would really ask serious
again for people to look at some of the amazing work people
have done some of the skins out there totally hammer the "Official" ones,and with EF2 being based on Enterprise E
it seems a great pity that such excellent work is relugated to either much smaller servers or for people to playoffline.
i know not all skins could go on but i think a list should be drawn up and again lets the players decide what comes on.
pleas dont think this is me stepping over the line
i think this whole process will give Eliteforce the Boost its needed

looking at the rentable servers.....and the faq. It seems possible, my idea. Starman I dont know if you see this? If so perhaps me, LegsWideOpen (kirkslovechild), Wadada, Dreadnought and others (who would like to join) could get a server to "improve" things, you lot are doing a hell of a job though.

I cant pay for a server as it is on my own, and I believe it is for the good of the whole ef community. Just think of me as someone who wants to help. Money wise i could provide a bit....

Also Starman who are you in EF world... I thought I knew most old timers (at least from rep) ok just looked at the liason list hello Seeker

I think we ould setup a paypal website for peeps to make contributions to let a server run... We will soon have to pay for our servers anyway so... Good idea Mr BlackShirt (an GG tonight too CTF_AND1 game kicked ass)

Also on the matter of skins, this has been said many times before.

BarrysWorld can not support custom skins on the servers because of limited disk space on the servers, and besides downloading is not enabled on the EF servers because of stability issues.
