An artwork in memory of Defiance

This is an artwork I made.

I would like to share it with you, like a memory of the guild Defiance. The guild which I created along time ago with some close friends. It begun as a merge between Yggdrasil's Spirit and Veni vidi vici, If any of you can remember those guilds

Even though Defiance is fading. The memory lives on. I will never forget the good times we had, ever. Thanks to all of you who made it worth it

The picture shows myself (Eragrim/Hunter), my brother Ahlgard (skald), Soromaar aka Andine (shadowblade), Gorolin aka Ghazkull (Zerker), Vind (Hunter) and finally Sinus (Warrior).

The shadowblade just might be Ilsindiir aka Geuin as well. That I will leave up to the beholder


Please keep in mind. The picture has not been edited by computer. I photographed the picture with my digital cam since I dont own a scanner. That has decreased the quality of the picture alot and caused a bent look


Still, I hope you enjoy it. And once again, thanks to everyone that has been in Defiance. And to all our allies.

Yepp yepp, nice pic Eragrim, Tbh it was when defiance died i lost the touch of playing the game i thougt, but i rerolled to hib on excali and got the feeling back to play more, so you wont see Aucard in mid anymore, hes an hib now...

Very nice pic indeed. Still remember Yggdrasil's Spirit and Veni vidi vici, but I didn't know Defiance was a merge between the two. Always thought it was one of the greatest guildnames ever

The time of Defiance has ended, but the spirit lives on within the souls of us who's been in Defiance, Yggdrasil's spirit and before that The order of Ice and Fire. I thank you Eragrim, and ofcourse the others within the guild, who made the guild what it was.

I must say that I´m really impressed, very nice picture indeed!
Made me realize that I miss defiance alot, those were the golden times in daoc.

Defiance is still strong on an 8th spot on rp list in mid, even though it has been down for like ages.

Those we're the good old times.....

Remember that Defiance had a rule that u had to be over lvl 35 before

joining, was really hard to reach as i remember..... Did loads of time in the

dungeon of Spindelhalla with my first char, Sigmo the trollwarrior, and one

day i reached lvl 35..... Finally member of Defiance.......


Made loads of friends in Defiance: Era, Ahlgard, Alturiak, Soromaar(Andine), Sinus, Ulme[twat that made me play this game ], Wiiwii of BC etc etc list can be long....´(Dont be mad if ure name aint here, perhaps like u anyways....)

Though friends and foes, Defiance is not gone.


But our days of glory has indeed faded.

I am still a member and guildmaster of Defiance with my hunter Eragrim, as I do not have the heart to leave the guild with him. And so shall it always be, until Ragnarok turns our world into ash.


...It's glory has faded, but the old ones say. That there are whispers and souls of the old world, that still until this day roam under the dark banner of Defiance...
