An Artifact Plea

Well after 2 days of hanging round SoM and 2 spawns I'm still trying to get encounter credit through errors (and pure bad manners of the take over group on the first attempt).

May I humbly ask for the following:

1. If you're doing an artifact please send a few pms out to people in the zone so they may gain credit for the encounter.

2. Make it clear what the rules are - credit only or FFA roll.

3. Can BG leader make sure they know how the arti works and pass on key info to group (I lost count of the times people pulled the sphinxes out of the circle over the past 2 days).

I'm at the point now where I'm considering offering money to get into a bg that knows what its doing and won't fuck it up again.

(PS - if you are doing SOM pls pm Asp, Auchter or Peculiar - I have 3 or 4 gukldies also need credit and know how not to fuck up the encounter)

Would be great if you could post how the encounter is supposed to be done.
How do you avoid not getting a cloak after killing the sphinxes etc?
Only been on one and I think you were there too, but I did not hear any good explanation as to why it all went tits up...

Yeah - wasn't that a fun experience. Its riwenn I feel sorry for - 12 straight hours of mind numbing camping down the toilet....

That one went tits up because the first sphinx went outside the circle (I think).

How do you avoid not getting a cloak after killing the sphinxes etc?

I'm probably wrong on this, but isn't currently possible for a mincer with th ML10 sorjourner ability to grab the cloak, port out with the ML10 ability and then wait near the enc for some other poor saps to kill the sphinxes for them without saying what they've done?

Yes and some scouts have done that, unfortunetly since the sojourner started the encounter first, its not per se against the CoC.

Although it could just as well be classed as griefing, requiel knows about the tactic and will take the appropiate action to anyone found to be abusing the system.

I read the vos pages ofc but they do not really go into what might cause the effect we had last night. We did everything they are saying - sure the sphinx went outside but we got him back in and killed him - and still we didn't get the drop.

What I would like to find out is how to make sure not to have this happen again? Does anyone know what might cause the cloak not to drop and how to avoid this in the future?

I'll be sure to look you up if i ever manage to find SoM up and uncamped, would ask that you plz do the same, i'll settle for encounter credit as SoM prices have dropped to a semi-reasonable level. Plz PM Amandil/Bunions and i can probably drag a few guildies along too, to make life a bit easier
