think my mobo is crazy... when i flashed it, it now shows the correct speed, but ive notice that i cant play any kind of 3d based game with the CPU and mems on the correct speed. i need to put cpu down to 1833 instead of 2200, and mems down to 333 instead of 400, else the comp crashes. last time i buy both radeon gfx card, very dissapointed at it, and very very last time for a ASUS mobo. even my old MSI mobo worked better..

Sell your 3200 BARTON! :( and buy a 2800+ thoroughbreed Then you wil hae money left to seel your radeon and buy a 9800 pro ;) or, if your board as dual ram support, more ram fortehwin

a) because with your asus Mobo you will be able to overclock the 2800 slightly ;)
b) You will get a better performance than runnig your 3200+ at 1833.
c) you will be able to get 400mhz Fsb instead of having to use 333
d) AMD lost their performance when they made bartons because they soded their chip up mightly and thoroghs only go up to 2800+, but make sure it isnt a barton and is a thoroughbreed ;)
e) Because im telling you two!

Hope this helps, have alook at certain chip performance reportig websites, search in google, and it will show you performances between athlons bartons and thoroughbreeds, and bartons to intels and thoroughbreeds to intel ;)

You may be suprised

/edit ... I hope your not using the 64bit athlon or you may as well give up right now, 64bit athlons arnt compatiple with any games at the moment.... so if thats what your using, for goodness sake why did you spend all that money!!!

/edit 2 .. Next time you buy a computer or any hardware, make sure to do reearch so you no that all your hardware will work with each other... Nothing wrong with your Asus Mobo, i am Using the A7N8X deluxe, 2400+ athlon and 2x256mbddr ram in dual channels.... Works like a dream, except my gf 4 mx card, i am working on that tho.. :D

Not strictly true. The AMD 64 still runs 32 bit apps natively so will still run any game out currently. When 64 bit games come to market (in about 3-4 years probably), then it will run those too. However it is a colossal waste of cash unless you really, really need all that on chip cache and/or run 64 bit applications routinely.
