Amazon woes

Ordered Diablo2: LOD on Friday and expected it to be delivered nice and shiny to my door yesterday. Never turned up. So I wait another day and it finally arrived. I opened the box eagerly expecting to see the game and what do I see? Zambinis Mountain Rescue for ages 7 and up.

Cunts.

So I ring em up, they explained that there was a mistake at the warehouse (no shit Sherlock) and that it would take 2 - 3 weeks to get it back in stock. Needless to say I old them to Fuck Off and I'll expect my refund before the end of the week. The apologised, offered me some gift vouchers (no ta) and explained that it very rarely happens. Thats bollocks as I know of at least 3 people that have had different items sent to them instead of the one that they ordered. Anybody else care to share their experience of Amazon?

Turns out that a small site on the corner of the internet has loads of copies in stock and can get it to me next day! The site is http://www.softwarefirst.com if anyones interested and the bloke on the end of the phone was very helpful. Oh and it was 2 quid cheaper with courier option.

Thats the last time I order anything from any Big Name™ online sites. Wankers.

Never had any trouble with them, except that sometimes the packaging is damaged in someway.

I have only had one issue, but that was done to the Royal Mail losing *cough* my parcels...

I've been buying from amazon for nearly 3 years now, for years they were the staple place for all my music/dvd and book needs until play.com came around. Now I only buy books there..anyways, I've bought nearly 200 items from amazon in that time and of all those items i've had 2 incorrect deliveries. One i returned and got a replacement within a week, nice and easy, the second was a cd and I happened to like the mistake so kept it.

I admit it sucks when orders go wrong, but amazon on the whole is a fantastic site and well worth using. Hope my track record helps boost your confidence Wrong orders happen occasionally, humans arent perfect after all.
