Not borthing to provide a link since it's all over the news sites. I just think it's bloody stupid. The appeal trial clearly showed that the evidence collection processes were screwed up and therefore any evidence collected was effectively contaminated and unusable in court. It also showed that there was never any motive for Knox and her boyrfriend to have commited the murder in the first place.

The murder weapon was never found and the case against her hinged on blood that was supposedly found on her bra strap. It was proven using crime scene photo's and documentation that the bra was moved around the place and even touched without gloves. Whether or not Knox and her boyfriend commited the crime is now completely irrevelant since I can't see how any new evidence that conclusively proves their guilt would have shown up by now. The U.S will never extradite her to Italy because there's no good reason for the aquittal to have been reversed.

Thoughts?

I don't care. The reason this story has received such widespread coverage is that she's a pretty white American girl who's accused of some manner of sexy killing. People are murdered every day but without this level of fuss.

The Italian legal system is the laughing stock of the western world at the moment. Berlusconi, Geologists and this bullshit.

UK news site reporting about an American possibly being extradited to Italy makes a Finnish guy go "Meh".

My lack of interest has reached a global scale.

Couldn't give a toss, the only reasons she got away with it in the first place is A) Italians are shit with evidence and B) American's turned it into a fucking media circus like always. Its as simple as this - if she refuses to go willingly shes guilty as fuck, an innocent person would not fear a retrial if they know without a shadow of doubt there is no evidence linking them to it because they simply didn't commit the crime.

Disagree. Would you trust the Italian justice system to deliver the right verdict even if you knew you were innocent? Self-evidently not.

Not the point tho? regardless of how they handled shit the first time around if there was a shread of proof that she was present at the time of her murder and may have taken part in it its clearly the reason she wont go back, would you go back to a retrial had you just escaped it the first time around KNOWING you've killed someone? i'd put money on the answer being "No, I got away with it, why would I go back?"

Well, yes it is the point. As I said in an earlier post, the Knox case isn't the only high profile example of the fact that the Italian legal system is run by morons who are not only incompetent but irrational as well. I wouldn't trust them to run a bath never mind run a trial that my freedom depended on.

Eww, don't tell me you actually find her attractive :p she's an utter dog, murderer aside I wouldn't touch her with a barge pole from the moon.

She's an "utter dog"...riiiiight. I know its "in the eye of the beholder" but fucking hell, your eye must have an arrow in it or something, she's no sane person's definition of a dog, all the murdering and stuff aside.

Reminds me of the time some internet big-cock described Holly Willoughby as "an absolute horror-dog." I chuckled.

Either way i think its fairly clear now that the gate swings both ways as far as "if she was innocent or she is innocent" goes,i bottom line is where will it go? will the Meredith's family finally get some closure? or will they be denied the truth and forced to believe that the drifter already in custody has done it. It should be about the victim not the fucking media circus Knox will inevitably milk for millions of dollars.

Think the Supreme Court could have found issue with just one part of the appeal, and they'll retry just that part. Unlikely it will amount to much. If that Italian dude had any sense he'd have bailed the EU a long time ago to a non extradition country, because this is trial by media round two.

There was only one piece of evidence the first time round and as I've already pointed out, it was contaminated from the get go. You have a very narrow minded view of things to think that she would only refuse to go if she's guilty. Lets look at a couple of things shall we.

1: Her original trial was not only a media circus, it was held using improperly collected and contaminated evidence. (Lets not forget that 2 completely independent and unbiased forensics experts ripped the evidence to shreds)

2: All of the "Proof" that the proscecution put forth was circumstantial at best and highly improbably at worst, yet it was taken as gospel.

3: Last year some seismologists were jailed in Italy because they failed to predict when an Earthquake would strike.

4: How can anyone expect a fair trial when even the Prime Minister is corrupt?

As DaGaffer said, the Italian justice system is a joke run by cretinous halfwits. I wouldn't go back for the retrial either and I very much doubt that they can produce any evidence compelling enough for the U.S to agree to an extradition.

Edit: To be honest I just feel sorry for the Kircher family. Imagine their pain at having this all raked up again.

I think your missing one of her best qualities, the 4 million USD book deal she signed :) Hell for a fair share of that I'd probably do you :)
