Am I doomed to be a Q2 llama?

Having played q3at (yep i know its just the test) , i have to say that i am not overly impressed, i will buy it and play it from time to time , but i will always go back to good old Q2.
Am i doomed to go into quake3.uk and slag off every quake3 player just because im so stuck in my old game?

Not really got an opinion btw, aint played it yet but all ive heard is peeps moanin about it so i've kinda gone off it myself?!?
Is it really that bad or are ppl just be VERY critical of it??

well it aint bad, but theres absolutely no shine to it, it feels a bit unfinished,

Seems that LPB's like me have a definate advantage though (hope this will be sorted later).

I like the feel of the game and it's a pleasant thing to get a new expperience

All i want is the solid feeling Q2 railgun animation/sound back which I hope is what JC's latest .plan update means. As for the faster rox, well anyone can get use to the different prediction. Im sure when Q3CTF is out and I finally move over Ill be able unllamarize (as Q1ers would put it) myself from Q2

HHMMMM.... i don't know about the LPB's having a major advantage. I normally manage to finish at least 2nd with 3 LPB's and some modemers most times i play

I like it though, combines realism of Q2 (sounds actually coming from where they should etc..) and gameplay of QW.
So, all in all i think its worth getting!!!

From a QW`ers point of view ..(yes qw`ers) the Q3 test to me seemed really good...the only thing wrong with it is the speed of the rockets really....on one level i fired...jumped down and got my own rocket in the face
If the games like this....and the ctf mods anygood...who knows...i might convert for good
