Alternative to archer

Hi

I am getting fed up with archers being the lowest of the lowest. So if I should make another char to have fun with, then what should I choose? wouldn't mind being a class that everybody whines about, instead of laughs at for a change! Don't mind dying, but wanna get rps when I do.

Already got a mentalist to 46, but I got a nasty feeling this would just be switching one underpower class for the other RvR wise at least.

Should I roll a
bainshee
Sorcerer (switch realm)
Eldricht

or something else that kills stealthers in 2-3 shots!!

Dare I say vampiir ?

Had fun with mine in the early days, as long as you slap the occasional mob in the frontier to keep some power you can really piss off some classes.

Vampiir is great fun on the cluster but don't roll one on the classic server - that's just lame. You'll get some great fights and believe it or not, a vampiir will actually improve your RvR skills quite considerably. When fighting against high RR oppoents, you have to work out what to use and when (VE/Dem specs) and death can usually result in you doing it wrong. When you master it however, you are a solid character who is pretty damn solid in 1 vs 1's and the such.

Failing that; eldritch IMO.

well melee ranger is fun BUT there is a lot of stealthzerg going on in every realm so i dont think you will enjoy it a lot.especially as a low rr.

As for classes that are visible soloers (vamps, vw etc) i havent tried any yet but i think the adding from fgs will not be funny.

Go mid , make a BD , go rr10 and then get back and play with your ranger

I will of course keep my ranger, and got a pretty decent template now, with a load of good artis, so not gonna stop playing Thlauni.

Just starting to think, as this is Dark age of Castalot, then perhaps I should try a mage. And since I have a pretty high mentalist, I wanted to know if it was really stupid to use him as the second char. He is lvl 46, so I need to gain 3 levels (1 free), TOA and template him, but would rather do another char if mentalists are totally wortless in RvR.
