alternative RVR transport

alternate transport to enemy RVR area's

allow people to take a boat but also allow a portal (maybe similiar to ml10 portal graphics) that can port you to a random place in the enemy territory. Its not truly random, 20 allocated spots in each realm are located and the portal changes location every 15mins.

Maybe one of the allocated spots can port you into DF, regardless of who controls towers (it will be good for some people annoying to others)

i dont think its a good idea tbh,
people will simply camp the port spots and kill you as you zone in (like poc) if you have a slow pc.
Also remember that sort of port means you are no longer buffed as a result noone will use it (even ml10 soj ability is pretty bugged when you port to a bind spot in the same zone i often lose a buff or 2 if someone in grp has buffed me)

Nah knowing my luck they dump me in the north sea:( It will be like personal missions for solo never get albs:( be dropped of miles away from the fun:(

people already camp drop off spots for boats anyway, and at least the portal exit point changes every 15 mins

you wont lose buffs as all it is doing is porting you in the same zone,(just like the teleport zones, but with a differant graphic) its not going to load a zone in. Maybe i should of said that the entry portal would be at CS or Snowdonia and the exit point would be a random fixed point.

just forget the boats and run through Agramon, that way it should get nicely active ;)

you dont have to come off a boat at a drop off, if your killed their its your own fault for not /disembark earlier :p

Yeah remove boats!

Poor solo'ers tho ;< kinda annoying to run from 1 zone to another just to get ganked - well they get keep speed so should be that annoying - people could meet halfway! Or revive the mg zerg xD

removing boats and having agramon as the only thoroughfare would actually be very interesting, but could also pose many a problem. then again, it would be the same as old frontiers, with a choke point...at least this time there would be 2

Shepards FG into a blue Police telephone telephone box. Bring up map and selects entry point in Odins. Zap your there! Would be awsome.:)

Might be copyright issues with blue police telephone boxes.

Seriously faster boats would be great.

Equally they could make the portal drop you in a random spot within say 5000 units of the 'point', that would go a long way toward preventing camping, though it would have to have code to prevent porting into bad terrain.

Like the idea personally but I don't think many would use it really.

yea but if they dont know where the spots are then there is now where to camp eh, mind u im sure they will figure it out but i think getting rid of boats completly and making every realm run thourhg agramon is a great idear

Well could be fun if GOA experimented a little more :p

No one looses if they try it for lets say a week or so would they?

Well they have done it in the past, arti to scroll merchant etc.
So if they ask mythic really nice... :)

GOA is allowed to implement quests of it's own. And a "Quest" seems to be defined by Talk-to-NPC, Give-Item-to-NPC followed by the reward. The reward itself doesn't follow any restrictions by the looks.

i dont agree...bein on boat gives you time to take a slash or grab another beer :p

with the camping issue....i think they shoul ddo what they have with the bb thing around ligen ect...but say ur there for 5 mins..u get ported 20,000 units away in random direction....an anti camp thing....say for example if u keep moving....say 3000 every minute or so...u wont get ported...if not....ur moved mofo!
