I've been playing around a bit with alternate samples for the instruments, lowered the volume of the buffing spells, changed some ingamemusic, ..

(Sheesh why did you make naturalistbuffs louder than firewizz BOOOM ?)

I wonder if there's someone out here who found the ultimate samples, specially for the bard/minstrell instruments.

Hmm , I posted a thread awhile back about changing in game graphics, just town names and the like, got well flamed, anyway how do you change the music, the game always downloads the original?

hmm it's probably breaking the EULA (modifying the source code and all) so that'll be why you got flamed job...

whether you'd be hung from the gallows for changing some sounds or not though...

There is a daoc soundpack out there that replaces loads of the samples with different ones. It has been discussed at length on VN boards, and Mythic basically said we don't object, but we don't approve (it is NOT modifying the source code). I.e. use at your own risk. It also modifies some interface gfx (brighter HP/END/POWER bar and some other cosmetic stuff).

I have used it, and it is quite good. It is a bit confusing though, as my brain has become attuned to noises after a year of play, and I instinctively react to certain sounds. I ditched using the soundpack for this reason.

if you have half a brain you would know what to type in a search engine.

by the time someone/some of you/who ever wanted this that & the other decides to post a link you could of searched for it yourself

Sheesh!! What kind of a machine is that file on? I started to d/l it and gave up cos the remaining time just kept on increasing, and the transfer rate dropped down to 25 kb/sec .. .not what I'm used to on cable. 13 MB should take about 40 secs .. not 8 minutes.
