Needless to say, dont go afk when cooking. Now I have no lamb burgers and a black oven :S But I thank my lucky stars it could have been so much worse.

LOL Gamah, i did the exact same thing when I was 18. Because I saw flames shooting out I thought the cooker was gonna blow up so I called the fire brigade (their HQ is like a minute a way), 2 minutes later a load of firemen in breathing apparatus burst in and just said "think your burgers are a bit burnt mate), at least they saw the funny side.

Did the same thing a while back with a pizza. Had it in the oven at midnight but I was steaming drunk. Logged onto DAoC to pass a lil time and joined an rvr group. I don't know exactly when it was but I ended up falling asleep in front of the computer.

3am came around and I awoke in my chair to some mighty harsh words about almost burning down the kitchen. In game I found myself at the south of the irish sea... The pizza itself ended up crumbling away in my hand as I took it out of the oven; need less to say, I didn't eat it.

Solution? I now have a lil timer which I stick in front of myself whilst playing May annoy people when it goes off but at leasst it's better then a burnt pizza
