Hey all

I got a little question, i have started a new danish guild with rvr as first priority.. we need an alliance to help out with our realm, and a be part of keep stuff in hib/alb.. and also for other events!

I have a question.. is the FoM alliance totally dead ? looks like half of it is small dead guilds!

What alliances are there else ?

I wants a serious alliance, with no uselesss spam in /as
I wants an alliance there care about the realm
I wants an alliance there dont have dead guilds

Is there any alliances left ?

Just to get some fact on the table. Atm it seems like we have 4-5 serious big alliances on Midgard (both Excalibur and Prydwen). In addition to that, there are about the same numbers of RvR guilds or guilds without alliances. Most of these guilds mainly run their own game and thats just fine (we all play this game differently). I made my own little research on how the 5 biggest alliances are doing atm and its looks like pretty much the same in all 4 of them. I know it is summertime and alot of people are not playing atm and alot of poeple also play alb and hib atm (server vacation or going where rps are best). But I guess it pretty much the same in all 5 alliances. My research are based on Last Weeks Realm Point per Guild (witch actually seems to be the only statistics on Roll of Honour that is updated fittingly atm). This should give a more fitting picture of the current situation in RvR than any other stats. Here are my results:

- Red Shadows Alliance - Excal (19 guilds, 363 members, 4.332.000 rps pr week)

- Fellowship of Midgard Alliance - Excal (15 guilds, 255 members, 3.632.000 rps pr week)

- Black Company Alliance - Excal (7 guilds, 35 members, 481.000 rps pr week)

- New Era Alliance - Pryd (16 guilds, 301 members, 2.947.000 rps pr week)

- Norrsken Alliance - Pryd (12 guilds, 142 members, 1.168.000 rps pr week)

All alliances has inactive guilds (guilds with less than 6 people and/or not producing rps). And all alliances has a core of 3 to 6 guilds that produces 85-90% of all the rps in the alliance. So the picture is the same in all these alliances with ofcause small variations. So we can more or less cut the crap and say none of these alliances are dead, but none are functioning as the could do if they were merged into 2-3 stronger/bigger alliances.

I can give a small picture on what the situation is in FoM Alliance atm. We have 15 guilds in our alliance, but out of those 15 only 10 are producing rps. Those 5 guilds not producing rps are not completely dead but the average number of members in these 5 guilds are 5 people in each, so they could more or less be absorbed into other guilds or be in another alliance just for claiming purposes. It is the excact same picture in all of the other 4 alliances, all have "dead guilds" (ranging from 3-7 guilds). Again Im only counting guilds that have below 7 people and/or produce no rps.


Now back to old.Eyez questions:

No, not by far and I think the stats above proves it and if not, then are all of Mid alliances totally dead.

What alliances are there else ?

See above. There are 4-6 more but they are not producing rps or not more that 2-3 RvR guilds (that dont take much part in "actual" RvR, more like doing fg vs fg or leeching on zergs).

Excactly that point, I think divides the alliances a bit or has been doing in the recent past. It has been an issue dividing the 2 big alliances on Excal for ages. It has mostly been useless argueing on what /as can be used for and I still think there are some small differences on the use of the alliances' /as. I know for a fact that we have become more a like, but I still think FoM has a more restricted set of rules of using /as, but I wont go into a deep discussion again on this issue. AND IM NOT SAYING RS ALLIANCE HAS USELESS SPAM IN /AS!!!!!

I think the stats above proves that all the 5 alliances does that, and who ever say otherwise is full of bs. But if you go outside these 5, I cant garantee they do.

Atm thats not possible. All the 5 alliances has dead guilds in them. But I hope this will change. I for once can inform you that I will take this very issue up in my own alliance (FoM) and hopes to make sure this will be history soon in FoM. I urge all the 4 other alliances to do the same, so we have 5 slimmer and more fitt alliances, can we could possible merge in the future, atm it will be hard to merge.


This brings me back to my final issue. As alliance leader of the FoM alliance I will bring up the discussion on how we stand on a future merge of our alliance, within my alliance (actually we are already doing it atm). We are 10-15 guilds that need to figure out if we can merge with another alliance and what we can compromise on and what we cant compromise on. I know for a fact that merging 2 alliances can cause HUGE problems and internal differences if not done properly, so we wont take it lightly this time if we merge with anothe alliance. But on the other hand its obvious merging alliances would solve some problems in Midgard. I promise I will return again when we have discussed it in FoM. Untill then we have 5 open spots for likeminded guilds and maybe soon more open spots, if we cut away the "dead guilds".

Atm thats not possible. All the 5 alliances has dead guilds in them. But I hope this will change. Norrsken is a scandinavian alliance with pure scandinavian guilds in it (I think there are about five non-scandinavian alliance members but they're allowed to talk english in /as =). And as everyone knows, who lives in the northen part of the world, the summer is much to short but must be lived to it's fullest. Hence, online activity is at it's lowest, hitting rock bottom to be frank.

We do have some 'former' guilds still in alliance, harvesting their last bps for tower claiming and such, but also have a plan for removal when they're ripped clean.

Our /as would probably be considered being a chicken house by those not fancying anything else than hard core rvr-info. Norrsken /as is more or less like an extended guild chat and all in scandinavian languages (i.e. norwegian, swedish, danish) with the note that english is also allowed for the non-scandinavians. (Don't believe Brite when he says we're racists!)

At the moment there is no intention within the alliance or the guilds to change this rule-set, but we will ofcourse have to look into all these issues later on in the autumn when things are more back to normal, whatever that might be, and whether Norrsken will still be a strong alliance to count on.

If you don´t like random spam in /as Norrsken aint the alliance for you. All Norrsken guilds are like a big family and random jitter in /as is only fun.
