Hi all,
Curious about peoples interpretations of the uses for Alliance chat.

What do you expect from it?

Thats is basically. Some people are fed up of others using it for LFG requests, and some think it should be reserved for keep defense/raids.

Would just like to say that I don't hear about many keep defenses. Mostly seems to be keep raids to get DF open, of which I am glad Hibernia is doing more often again. Instead of farming in Emain Macha.

Each to their own, naturally. I just prefer taking/defending keeps.

Coming from an Alb PoV....

We used to use /as in the EC as general place to chat, and it was manic. It was used to talk to everyone/keep updated on keeps/Mids/DF/Events/what Kyra got upto in the last week/what Fighter had for lunch the other day.

Now moving to a nerw much larger alliance, we clamped down on /as usage - We keep it very RvR orientated, tho sometimes some slips can be made...

alliance chat to me is a way of getting information and a way of helping to bring guilds closer together, both these ends are acheived by talking.

at points it can be quite hectic, but i'd prefer that hectic nature rather then be in allaince with no talking and no fun, a real life zerg, where the only ideal is to exp and be uber.

but hey thats just me

hmm on midgard merlin alliance chat people use it for anything from wtb diamond seals to "any exp groups need lvl 21 shadowblade?"

General communications between guild who are close but wish too keep as separate guilds rather than a massive one tat would prob have a lot of probs

If you are a member of the Soul Pact alliance, there are rules, made and approved by all guildleaders which we have to obey, these can be found on the alliance forums on pryd.net.

Of course, rules are meant to be broken

Yea, well yer not succeeding good thing tho, ever since we lost Ankh we've needed new /as spammers
