Dun Crauchon was up for grabs last night :D

Lionhearts, seeing that we had lost our chance at Albions forts, gathered for a mid fort raid. 12 of us went to odins, but unfortunately we got spotted and the mids soon turned up when we was on the second door :(

Was fun and a brave effort though

Intrested to know the reasoning behind who got which keep.
Also was their some kind of agreement amongst alliances made previously?

Also If say the Middies take a keep and then we reclaim it is that keep classed as unclaimed or does it revert to who origionaly claimed it first?

If thats the case I feel slightly dispondant since though a reletivly new guild we have high expectations for the future and would have at least liked to have been aware of such decision made that effect our realm.

On this last point it would be my fault at the moment for not activley discussing with major guilds, But would like to know if thier are any private forums that these descisions are made if so could someone message me in game.

You can't hold a keep indefinitely because it costs Bounty Points for every hour that you hold it depending on its level. Also I suspect when you lose the keep and then recapture it you also have to reclaim it.

As for who chose which keeps SotL took the first keep soon after the server was up so we had any keep on the server to choose from. In the end we took Berk because everyone is lazy and didn't fancy a longer walk to see it :) I'm pretty certain we'll be releasing it tonight since we don't want to be spending 150 BP / hour unless someone is attacking it.

People just wanted to try out claiming; we took Berkstead mostly due to it being convenient. In the future we'll probably be looking to claim a more interesting keep :p And no, taking an enemy keep makes it "neutral", so you can basically capture a keep, then claim it.

As for having an impact on the Realm, well, although you get some bonuses for your alliances keeps, claiming is mostly a guild affair.

Berkstead is no more than a toy, let's claim a more interesting keep next. :p

And silly Ariant for upgrading it that high.

I dare say that this whole keep-setup will not hold much longer than the weekend, when all the excitement about battlegrounds etc. has passed and the real RvR begins again. We just wanted to make a statement and raise our flag high. And it sure is a great feeling running to pennines from Hadrians seeing your very own emblem on the patrolling guards.

Thankyou all for replying :D

Now im a little more aware heh
Since the biggest crime someone can commit against his realm is ignorance Im trying to keep up to date with things.

Agreed Hendrick the feeling you get from watching the guards in your emblem must be great, and one day Dogs of War will know it to.

So once again thanks for all Answering my questions :D

I know very little about this whole concept so forgive me if my question is stupid but is there a limit to the ammount of keeps a guild can own. If the bounty points were there, would it be possible for one guild to own several keeps both in their realm and in the enemies realm?

Aye jupitus, we saw the keep taken......everyone was confused as to which idiots had taken that hibernian waste of time. Hadess was kind enough to inform me as to who was up to something before RR2 informed me that you guys had claimed it....oh well :D

Btw, i have yet to venture out and see TDS's grand caer boldiam - tho i will admit, choppy had his sights set on berkstead...damn you SotL! :)

You can have Berk when we're done with it :p Had a good time defending PL's keep yesterday though :p Those bloody Hib pets are annoying though; do they always nuke through walls? :p

Sooooo..... how many BP left, I know SotL will easily hold on to their keep but how about you others?

We've got enough BP for a long time :)

Plus it's a difficulty 4 keep, so the guild RP multiplier is good

S

Sooo.... you get more BP for holding it aswell...?

J

Jupitus

not BP, RP... the difficulty of the keep determines a multiplier you get applied to your Guild RP while you hold the keep... it's all in the patch notes :)

Oh, and don't fret, we have plenty of BP too;)

We have the BP to hold Sursbrooke for an uninterrupted 2 weeks if it's not taken first. However, we've come to an agreement with our allies, the Griffon Knights, that we will attempt to adopt Sursbrooke as an alliance keep. So next week, if it remains in our hands, we will turn it over to the Griffons. Then a week later, it will return to us, and so on.

That means we can afford a month between us initially, and by the time that month is over, we willc ertainly have our first lvl 50 full-time skirmish groups to keep those BPs flowing in.

With our current BP we can hold it for few weeks... Its really not that long time... Might hold it more if we decide to RvR a bit.

We can hold the current lvl 5 keep for over a month at this rate, Layl. :)

Prolly more with our constant flow of incomming bp's. Just imagine how long we would be able to hold a lvl 1 keep. ;)

Dunno who exactly did it, just know we waste 250 bp/hour for a silly keep at the moment. :)

Get bonuses to damage etc. from holding a keep... L5 keep will have quite good guards and bonuses :D

It costs nothing more to hold a difficulty 5 keep, it is just the fact that you are more likely to lose it if you dont upgrade, but use your heads and the cost can be minimized...

I have to say I was fairly impressed with your defense of nGed yesterday. Never attacked an Alb held keep before :) Damn those lvl50 bolts by Walker hurt (1000+ dmg occasionally), was a shame though to see people on the roof, but what can you do apart from take screenies and send them to RightNow...

Hi Lianuchta!

Yes - it was a great battle we had with you all which I really enjoyed. You very nearly had us at one point I thought, but we managed to stand firm (the Phoenix Legion Knight Commander and I stood firm against two orange con tanks :p )

With regard standing on the roof, I have been told by a few 'reliable' players that it is possible to jump normally onto the roof of some keeps. I noticed a player up there, so I immediatley asked them to make sure, and they confirmed they jumped there normally, but if you wish to check then dropping a RightNow report through is exactly the thing to do (keenly encouraged, in fact). I hope, of course, that the player was fighting fair, and if they weren't they should be suitably punished

Hey - back to the good stuff... look forward to a few more fun battles with you soon!

Jup.
