I joined BT's fledgling digital exchange programming centre, they were writing the code on 286's,
30,000 lines on a keyboard.
They gave me a processor to build, over 24,000 lines of code, I just copied one they had allready done and did replace for the exch id and other decode parameters, took about two days, previously they had been writing every line by hand.
They didn't know about copy-paste and replace.
Took them 3 months..no shit.
