All Crafters (lgm) Read This

I have seen the latest time that the crafting aint worth doing
becuse of the market.

For an example many times I get yelled at when I say my price
telling me I charge way way to much. The price I just told em was
550g (80g profit) and thay tell me normal price is 300g (170g loss)

90% of the time I hear this when anyone want a weapon.

Result is I dont take orders at all. I craft MP orders for myself
and m alts and sell the 99% I get left.

Now I want to change it and I hope you want it too.

I sugest a meeting with all LGM crafters to make a agreement
that could help the market so we no more need to hear we charge to mutch even when we sell for cost.

I am not after to make same price to all crafters but maybe a
minimum price.

We all know ppl farm money like never before in DF so ppl have money and thay will and have to pay for the items thay want.

So IF you agree with me on this point join the CG I will make
on friday at 21:00 CET I will alsow PM the crafters I can find
to advertise for this meeting ingame. So maybe we can make a change, not unresonable high prices just so we crafters can make
a living and not go back 200g on every item to make ppl happy.

Well if you get 99's as leftovers from MP-orders anything above the material cost for one single build is a profit. And if you want to
get rid of them fast and get some cash in I can understand that crafters sell for pretty low prices. I know I do... I mean the
material cost for lets say a war cleaver is about 250g and if I get 10 of those as a bi-product from a MP-order I think I'm getting a
pretty good profit if I sell them for 500g per piece.

But when I'm making stuff I don't already have in stock from previous MP-orders, both 99's and MP's, I'm always charging per
retry and that's something the buyer have to accept for me to craft for him. And with a little bad luck a 99 order for something
not in stock can get a bit expensive for the buyer that way but that's a calculated risk he is awear of and have to accept.
But why pay me per retry for something someone else have in stock and can sell to a better price? =)

just 10 min ago I got to hear again I was to expensive and my profit was 50g on a lvl 51 weapon.

I am more or less inactive when it comes to crafting simply because I feel like you Garnax, can't compete with the crafters getting tons of left-overs when making MP's.

The reason for me *not* taking orders for MP's is a) it takes too bloody long time and I want to do other things in the game, and b) if you're unlucky one MP order will take 200+ retries (even heard of 300+). This is my own choice however, I realise if I wanted to "get back in the loop" I would have to start making MP's.

That won't happen though as I have crafted lots of weapons for Midgard back in the days when I was the only Legendary Smith after Gimli left, and crafting is not that fun

If someone wants a weapon made, I still sell at the price I always have. If they complain and say it's too much, fine then, buy from someone else
