Alchemy......

Guys, Am lvling a scout to 50 was was wondering what the best mix of things are to have on the armour / shield and weapon.

Melee Health Buffer, Self damage shield etc all sound very nice but what is best to have and where. Am new to the Alchemy thing as all I have ever done is just SC gear!

Also do procs work on shield?

Do proc,s work on bow or are charges the only thing that actually work with a bow?

Melée health buffers on all armour pieces.

Reverse proc on shield.

Procs on crafted bows don't fire (although procs on dropped ones do) so go for charges on bow (I have STR/CON debuff on mine).

afaik reactives on shields only proc in PvE when blocking, it was a bug which was fixed last patch or will be fixed next patch

Procs on shields do NOT work in PvE. And it's as intended, to prevent... umm.. dunno... More tanks? Nah, cant be it.. But thats how it is anyway. Works in RvR, not in PvE.

Just to make it clear I am going for a 50 shield spec on my scout, final spec will be 45 Longbow, 50 shield and 36 stealth. So I will be hitting with shield allot, considering that would a Dot proc or something else be better?

As Ard says, reactvies dont work on PvE but work in PvP.

Otherwise you could engage highlevel mobs with endregen and blockfirereactivdotfortehwin!!1

shield procs do work in PvE, not in rvr though. You have to attack with your shield (slam for instance)

They dont slo , all shield procs work -anywhere- in combat in which the shield is involved, i.e you blocking or performing a shield style, the reason for the rvr only aspect is well the obviouse, end regen, engage orange con, go afk xping, they they said no to it, theys my thoughts anyhow

_dont_ put reactive on your shield or get Damage sheild reactive on your armour.

If you do, you cant engage things, and truse me engage will save your life sometimes...

if a reverse proc or dmg sheild fires then you will get the message that "xxx is under attack and cannot be engaged right now".

i am currently 50 sheild, 45bow, 34 stealth and 12 thrust and pretty damn happy with it, 36 stealth is too much imo
