Everyone seems to be obsessed with Spell Crafting in this patch it feels like ppls Alchemy set up has been overlooked.

What Tinctures / Reactive Tinctures are people going to be using.

Having a DD reverse proc on each piece of armor could be V nasty when fighting fast hitting stealthers, imagine it, they hit you for 50 dmg every few seconds but your reactive DD can hit them for 90 max dmg each time, stick a Dmg shield in there to as well as a Proccing Weapon and Reactive proccing shield for Thanes and Warriors and it aint pretty.

Thoughts and opinions?

Hooray! yes that idea is corrantly being dicussed in RL between me and a friend, another idea (this is an idea and i havn't ried it yet) is to stick a Dmg add/proc to a ram beak before comstuction of a ram, would it work?? or a bladeturn/ablative armour??

as for those stealthers how about a DOT tincture on those weapons, to see if it would stack with poisons? health regen spells in items/weapons (who would need a seer RvR).

and then ther are the procs, yeah spell crafting is a nice addition but Alchemy give an increadable scope for "intersting developments" in a fight

these are all ideas and i havn't tried any of them YET! plz point out any flaws

AFAIK the Alchemy DOT Tincture is based on matter Damage and the Assassin poisons are based on Body damage so no reason why they cant stack, dont know though

Well the DoT proc on the prince cleavers stacks with my venom so I dont see why crafted dot procs wouldn't..Nice when u can hit for 150 damage a tick =)

They do stack (Poison and Alchemy DoT proc). I read that somewhere on the US forums.

I'll get dots on my spears and reavtive proc dots on my armor, since they do most damage if you look in the long run I think it'll be wisest to have them all over.

What about having reactive Ablative Procs on most armor pieces, a 100 HP absorb buffer that renews itself very regularly, could give you almost double hit points.

Some Haste buffs and AF buffs might not go amiss either, suddenly getting a 17% boost to attack speed and 75 extra AF. Dont know if these "Utilities" are better than going for pure Reactive Ablative / DOT Reverse procs.

A good mix and match is ideal, having 6x ablative/reactive DoT's is a waste, as they dont stack, however small there is a chance that every single proc on all your 6 armour pieces and your weapon/shield. Much better to have maybe a mixture including a DoT proc, DD proc, Health Regen proc, Self Haste, Self Bladeturn, AF proc and anything else. I will definately get a good mixture.

From what I can make out from Alchemy sites and the IGN boards the Health Regen and Bladeturn Reverse procs got scrapped :(

Only really leaves Ablative, DOT and the other Utility ones as options then.

On a side note what DD types r ppl going for?

As I see it in a normal fight you would be quite lucky to get 2+ procs off and since the dot does what, 2.5 times the damage of a DD proc? So if I get one dot proc off in a fight it's better than getting 2 DD procs off (of course one DD and a dot is better, but how often will that happen?).

Since hunters lack defence I always aim at much damage, so I won't bother in health regen or something like that.

I would think that all dot procs would cause the maximum damage seen over a large number of fights, of course I got no proofs whatsoever, just the impression I get from it :).

If someone could calculate what causes the most damage, all dots or a mixture of dot and DDs I'd be happy :).

my point of view is directly opposite.. hunters do stand there and take every hit at them, im going to focus my procs on keeping me alive longer, not killing faster (well dot proc on spear ofcourse)

prolly got for dot proc on main hand axe myself and haste proc on offhand.. for armour i`ll have a mixture of dot/dd/regen and haste prolly

LOL :)

Damn I already use 4 items that proc and 2 charged, now everyones going to get them :( so much for uber drops, my damage shield is going to fade into insignificance, people wont need my heals :(

I dont like having an even playing field :)

Yeah the DoT proc does alot more damage than a basic DD proc, but only if it has time to work.... I'm going for the full DD, you know where you stand with it, quick damage can win a fight.
