The future of mids and hibs in NF seems pretty Ok.
But what about albs ?
Anyone thought about this ? How will alb post-NF group look like ?

how bout a 46/47 body sorc for leet debuffing?
Edit: well, 40body/36mind sorc can do both CC and debuffs.

AFAIR, Bittelitten offered this setup:

cleric (rej/enh)
cleric (rej/smite)
pala
reaver
friar (enh)
sorc (40b/36m)
wizard (ice)
theurg (ice/earth)

i would be soooooooooo supriced if friars ever gonna be a part of a alb gank group ...

2h dam dealer with shitty heals.... they need some godly RA for me to group with a friar in RvR thats for sure...

allso in my exprince having only 1 pbaoer sux.... maybe possible if he is RR10... but as they rarely are 1 is not enough... then rather no paboer

Sorc warning

Just a warning....unless you have a regular group, good luck finding a 44 mind sorc....we spend enough time eating grass as its is....and I am 44 mind spec'ed...but all discussions on sorc boards indicate that post NF sorcs are either bailing completely or speccing body.....coz 5 pt purge means our cc is of limited use....also Mythic has decided sorcs are 'power' caster class....we get no or limited access to pet RAs...we are not a pet class it seems....Mythic won't support enhancing cc...so no cc specific RAs....all the power RAs are damage focussed....although one has a snare component.....so the debuff sorc is your best bet for planning for the future....now if only our debuffs lasted longer than 15 secs (before resists and other time reductions).

Truth is that pbaoe is not what it used to be.
Loss of mota, nerf of mom, nerf of moc etc etc.
So far best for hib was 2 tanks 2 casters 2 druids 2xbard(or bard warden)
where casters are nukers (anim/ment/light eld)

Tbh what I fear most is what the great unbalance in numbers will bring to Excalibur.

The more "massive battle" approach in NF will create big problems to mids and, even more, hibs.
Regardless the alb specific fg setup....

Will any Realm here be considered "underpopulated" for keep maintinence costs?

evil unstrippable mini tank group and if we all tihnk back a friar is an easy match for any other tank thats got no buffs on. by match i mean tears him limb from limb, also lots of grappling in the group if all are BM and if some dummy roots em they heal. totally useless unless keep doors are down but lots of rezzing power if not :)

Filip, the elite, slightly retarded, Mid and Hib players will allways deny this.
It is no use claiming stuff, even if backed up by solid numbers.
They live in some kind of parralel world, in which they are allways right, etc...
Very boring, but that is why Mids felt savages, zerkers, sb's, healers, sm's are (where) all just fine... It is how Hibernia feels that Animists are fine, and that chanters, etc are never overpowered...

what about SoS and AM? Yes I know SoS can be negated by speedwarp, but still SoS has its benefits and utility.
Well anyway, if there will be such alb groups without good minstrel, I will be just happy as a member of enemy realm :D

1 Excalibur Albion 1,840 37.41%

2 Excalibur Midgard 1,775 36.09%

3 Excalibur Hibernia 1,303 26.49%

Will hibernia be considered "underpopulated" for keep claim costs?
Anyone knows the formula they using on US servers?

prepare to be surprised.
-buffed dmg >>>> unbuffed
-did you see the friar RA? Can you imagine it in 3?
-they can bg
-they can rez
-they don't need a paladin, much easier for a friar to work w/o pala than any other tank. Don't forget that pala are losing FH, the best most uber insta heal in game atm, better than any cleric insta, most ppl don't notice this.
-they can heal, this will help alb group to be able to support a 48 enhance cleric. If you have 3 friars then one could be higher rejuv maybe.

It's definately worth trying. We have two good friars, would like a third to try it with :) :touch: QS

light/ment mentalists might start to become more popular in hib with the removal of group purge - you might have to find that "demezz" spell that the other realms use ;)

oh and:
1 48e/rest rejuv cleric
1 41r/35e cleric
2 44s/30r clerics
1 40e/35s cleric
1 47spirit/rest body cabalist
1 50 instruments minstrel
1 mind/body sorc in yellow robes

could be fun :)

that or 8 smiters on hastener speed ;)

Not a chance. The metric used for defining "underpopulated" considers shroom proliferation. Therefore i fully expect Alb and Mid to be given significantly reduced costs.

paladin or 2x friars (self-buffs, endu regen, bodyguard-grapple sounds cool with shearing shit.

or skip friar. In that case paladin + reaver banelord/merc banelord/armsman (wanna see X-bow in action, hope someone includes armsmen^^)
