Albland Tueday Night

RR moans aside can I just applaud the way everyone involved in the Renaris defence last night played?
Albs were in Jamt/Odins and after playing with them for a while a large group of Mids moved to HW with the intention of distracting them. Even when they attacked Avrakar some fantastic alliance members turned up to stop the Keep falling.
When the Mids got to Ren, i believe with 6 rams, there was little opposition and Renaris taken.
The Alb retake force was impressive, 80+ but was beaten back from the Lord room.
20 mins later they came again, again 80+ and this time sadly less organised. After receiving what one Norweigan commentator made famous "One hell of a beating" (sorry) they broke off. Our guard pops told us 40 odd when this happened.
Mids throughout this was about 50-70.
When they broke off there seemed to be no more resistance AT ALL in the whole of Albland. Even when a Relic Guard pull took placce not much happened. Mids proceeded to take keeps one by one, retrieve rams then ...

I went to bed.

GG albs, lots of quality scraps behind Renaris and to the east. I can't comment on the time but certainly when we started it was before 10pm and that's enough time to scupper any raid in it's infancy.

I wasnt there at this occasion but I have had lots of fun on previous occations in Forrest Sauvage....the terrain, unlike emain, allows for even something less than a fg to get some nice battles.

People are beginning to catch on at how good sauvage is for brilliant rvr

No high mobs, nice open zone (granted, it has trees, but there's no zonewalls in the middle of the zone) and it's easy to get to.

Hopefully more large and small scale battles

Watching the battle from a 'neutral' (as in, not alb or mid ) stance it was fun to see the keeps bounce around.

Maybe us Hibs will build up enough dedicated numbers (i.e. people who don't moan about 'ffs, stop zerging n00bs and run 1fg ffs!') to try it some time.

never been Forest Sausage before, not been DL either, only frontier i have been to is friendly frontier - wish i could go there once in a while, been to alb side of DF to slay some stealthers tho! thats fun

My thanks to all the mids who have given me some wicked entertainment there (yes and lots of deaths too) over the last few weeks!

But, with all those amounts of fresh, CS using mids (you get more RP for those!) it must be great!

I seriously think that the albs are the ones getting more RP out of this deal with us having Renaris. I see infils jump inside the keep all the time, killing at least one before they get jumped by mids, who only get a very, very few RP due to the 700 guards who shot them. They may only get 1000 rp, but it's a 2 minute walk back for another 1000 rp

And all those juicy mid groups in front of and near BK! Oh my god! It must be a feast of proportions, I'm sure!

I much prefer rvr in alb fronteir unless our own is in need of help..

I find HW better and love going sauvage, even though sadly its quite a long walk stealthed anyway ill continue to go...get a kill then feck up and get slaughtered as usual
