Wehay we have thidranki againn, wasnt that hard tho as there wasnt many mids, well many is being generous there was like 4/5. but it was fun nether the less.

I can bet to see all you mids and hibs trying to kill us in reveange but ill be there with my scout sniping you off, if im not raped by SB's, usually when i kno im gonna die u can see me turn and bow then... die

Anyway i gots a long ways to go with my scout only just hit 90 rp's which is a good thing cause hes specifically BG

When are you mids or hibs gonna try and get it back btw ?

Anyway just wanted to say good job to albion, and unlucky to the mids... be ssing ya soon, not sure if i did my signiture correctly so ill say that my sout is called Morlach.

well us hibs will make an attempt when we have enough people to defend emain<its actually our frontier! > and to go to bg.

which to be honest will take around the whole realm on for this.

so many times me and a group of 10 people go to thidranki and get chased by what seems like 50 albs, or 50 mids.

its just not fun!

stop zerging and come have a fight, maybe split your force;s and hold the bridges, or send out a scouting party, i would love a series of running battles rather then

"here they come hibbies, lets take down as many as we can before we all die" followed by 30 albs riding over us, while only losing three people because of sheer no.s and cc.

you have lvl 30+ for huge zerging, hy can't thidranki be more of a place to actually have skirmish's and small battle's rather then a

"wow there was a group of 10 hibs that beat our 11 albs, quick all the albs with a bg alt come help us, we need at least 200 people here to beat them!"

i made the decision last night to level out of thid for basically those reasons cher, and the pk camping, we took the keep, i though great! this'll be like on excal where my ranger was on keep defence! only now i get to see it from a misntrels point of view!

was it?uke: no.

we took the keep then it was used as an excuse to (for the next hour>!!!S!!!< to sit on mpk and throw dirty looks at the middies, so sod the thid cap, i'm getting lvl 25, like i did with my eldritch, i'll find my jollies in yggdra and uppland from now on vastly more enjoyable (my eld was never at a lvl to go grey ganking "much" , mostly blue/yellow/orange enemies) because there's no zerging, it's great fights that come down to you and them, there's no skill involved in zerging, in 1v1's there is, it's vastly better in every possible way.

shame to lose those thidranki 1v1's with shadowbaldes though, they were the best fights i've ever had! shadowblades allways give a good run for your money, but since they dont attack me much anymore i'm off. will see you all in yggdra give me a friendly pa when your around

i take it your a midget... gives you more protection from me than shadowbaldes coming from hib i have a certain soft spot for luri's find it hard to kill them, generaly mezz them then leave with a /kiss

not allways, but mostly look forward to seeing you there!

EDIT, of course the extra 16 levels may help a bit too!

aye charonel, it was fun to take the keep.. but all ppl ended up at the PK .. i was there i agree .. but since they got pushed back there and i wanted to do some testing of "how" a infi works.. with stealth detect radius and dmg vs even con in different armor etc etc i had to go to the PK since they never got achance to leave it .. got some kills going had some fun, met alot of nice ppl .. but i got bored and am now lvling out of it...

"real" RvR is more fun BG's is such a boring zone... 1 keep 3 bridges and 3 PK's .. odins/hadrians/emain has bigger spaces to move around in, some more tactics (and some PK camping ) so the zerg wont be as funneled as it is in BG (not very hard to PA on a bridge .. they just run into it )

"real" rvr is usually worse for this than thidranki anyway since it usually consists of emain, which is just one big rp farming session. and thidranki is the same size as emain, if you level a thid character on excal you'll find the rvr in there far better than on here, we dont have half as much camping because the numbers are more equal, someone camps your pk? fine just port a couple fo chuncks of your force across and kill them (this even goes for hib), in pryd it seems to be that your either totally outnumbered or you totally outnumber them it's not good like that, as a ranger on there though, i can solo almost as good as my minstrel so i can get out and avoid any hib zergs that are tearing around on bard speed at least, but zerging really isnt the norm on excal, it's usually group fights mostly.

"real" rvr is what you make it, if you go for the usual emain crap then "real" rvr is utter shite, if you like solo hunting though, traveling the border zones and killing the xpers (being careful to NOT xp kill them mind you, that's a lame thing to do) is far better, hunting trolls just has no substitute

then also if you have stealth or speed you get the fun and games when the higher levels come out to kill you after having seen the death messages, and you have a great game of cat and mouse with them god i loved yggdra with my eldritch, but during my many hours of solo hunting down there i realised i was playing him as a ranger! but with no stealth . that was the entire reason to make my ranger, but once done, thidranki came out, and darkness falls too, which emptied the yggdra/uppland/snowdonia/forest sauvage area's of xpers, but i've found prydwen to not have the same problem

besides, now that i have mezz/stunn/insta DD's/good meelee/speed/charm etc........ i can have even more fun saving grey con norsewomen from xp deaths at the hands of mobs like i was doing before

basically, in "real" rvr it's a case of:

if you want very fast, uber realm points, go to emain,
if you want fun, go somewhere else

thats true and good advice, but RvR is about RP and the way some ppl play turns them into farms. The reason i want into "real" rvr is (speaking for myself now) i lvld my warrior to 50 and had quite fun, but then when i hit RvR full time, he was not my bag of tea at all.. constantly mezzed and nuked to dust. Outgunned in toe-to-toe combat (will change in 1.53 .. phear him ) so i rolled a stealther .. now im having a blast with him.. sometimes i feel like a shark cruising the water choosing target from the bathing humans at the surface

but thidranki was not very entertaining at all.. to many bottlenecks and constant zerging to the PK and everyone is the same lvl (and way to many stealthers/casters (and im one of them ) but then again if its fun go for it, no point in playing a boring class to keep the population even.
