Im still waiting for a multiple guild Minstrel Race to see who can run from Castle Sauvage to MPK or HBK the fastest.

Should be rather interesting to see who can negotiate the aggro mobs the best. Maybe start the run from Lyon so the general public can cheer on the runners.

There was talk of an event like this a while ago but nothing came to fruition.

hmm...

all the 'marathons' I've seen are pretty short for an event, especially with minstrels...

Although, the group element of an event is vital...

Heres an idea for a Game...

All guilds wishing to take part, nominates a full group of eight people and two subsitutes if a LD occurs (totally their choice of class/level). The guilds taking part should pay a entry fee too (which will become prize money). Also a 'Game Master' will be nominated, He will call the shots.

All groups will start at the same location (eg. camelot) and listen to the Game Master's orders. May it be to kill a named mob, solve a puzzle or just to travel somewhere as a group. The group to succeed the task first, wins a point. After a certain number of rounds are completed, the Guild with the most points are the winners and will win the prize money.

Pretty vague description, but I reckon it'd work pretty well.

Yes a scavenger hunt is a fabulous idea. I actually proposed something like this a month or so back, but we never actually did it.

Remember that PARP is not a closed group of people. Its an organization of people who wants to make stuff happen. So if you have ideas, go to PARP's board (in sig. ), Register, and vent your ideas. Worst thing that can happen, is that the event turns out to be 'less good'

To elaborate a bit more for the "race" idea, why limit it to minstrels only, lets have a relay race. One team from each guild, lets say only allowed 2 minstrels, 2 thurg spd etc, the rest snails. At different locations thoughout the realm. The organisers at the start hand the starting player a semi rare object which he has to pass to the next player when he finds them etc and so on.

semi rare objects are quite easy.... just have a crafter make an odd item he/she never really makes, like tier 1 items.. or a crafter who doesnt make things for other people (when u shift-i you will see the crafters name in the item info)
