Alb Tanks Full Helms - Wtf!!

Dunno if this ahs been mentioned before since yesterdays patch but. WHAT THE FUCK? armsman/pallys now have buckets/toilets/vase/ on their heads. What kind of loony passed the new gfx? we look hideous now. even more so than before the helms have never been right but now they just look odd and dont even fit in with the rest of our armour.

Last night I had a very good RVR session and appeared to take out higher level and more numbers mids quite easy, our group mentioned we were doing TOO well and decide it WAS because all the mids were laughing so much at the armsman/pallys in the group.

I hear half helms have a limited AF of 90 or something.

MYTHIC/GOA/whoever PLEASE change the full helm gfx or at least un nerf the half helms. or watch a film with knights in and design the helms to look like that.

Im going round without one on from now on in protest

Mythic felt that Hibernia/Midgard needed even more reason to laugh at us then they already have.

Personally I prefer the cap style ones, the full faced helms make you look so impersonal.

i prefer half helms too but even they were never "right"

having no helm on in rvr wont make too much diff for during the usual MAZ "mindless alb zerg" mezzed/dead or run around hitting 5 or 6 hibs with 80 other albs.

Any news on if they will revert back to the old ones or get a decent looking helm in future?

the new helms arent that bad tbh, i have kinda got used to them. but with hooded cloak i dont see it much

its the Plain bleech enamel that makes it look bad. try black looks ok then

Or mayby they should go look what the helmets really looked like and pass Hollywood. As a matter of fact, your helmets look pretty near what many knights used at certain era. Be happy.

It took Mythic a year to give Hibernia some variety to the standard hib "tea cosy/tea cosy with earflaps" models, so suffer, bucketheads.

Give it another few weeks and you can all have these.

I woudln't know what they look like aprt from screenies - I'm still waiting for my copy of SI :/ Stupid bloody GAME... I'm never ordering anything from there again. I should have known better.

I use a hooded cloak tho so it's not going to bother me much.

Just one question - can you dye the jesters hats???

New helmet graphics look DUMB.. pure and simple.

Too big for starters.. dont know why they changed it, look just fine before..

Yes, you can dye the new hats, but as they already have multicolour textures (the same way that epic armour does) they don't always look too good dyed.

the new bucket looks ub0r. looks more realistic than before anyway, as in a bucket with 2 eye holes cut out. but looks ub0r l33tz0r 1:1 1337 f3ll v3+ styl33 imho

new helms r completely unrealistic actually:

1)eye holes WAY to big
2)helms do not fit in at all with rest of armour, even colour is different
3)the helms are oversized, i know what origional helms look like, and the size they are, and they are too big,the size they are a sword would go stright underneath the edge of them

The helm suck no 1 asked for a new one
yet they HAD to nerv something they forgot
and they found it our look

next we get a propellor on it to regen end

oke YaY for hooded cloaks who get better in next patch

found some exaples for goa
you know there are pretty cewl drewling helmets from that time
like with toy on it etc :clap:

Viking helmets, Roman helmets, Greek helmets, Scottish helmets, Norman Helmets, Japanese helmets, Movie helmets, Jousting helmets, and Medieval helmets, among others. Most are fully functional.

Now lets for get it and give us the Roman Officer's Helmet
and not the Crusader Great Helm

I think the new helms are actually pretty good, at points....
i.e. looks nice with big broad-shouldered highlander or briton in pally epic armor, but looks really really gimp on the girlish avalonian pala i saw and also looks shite undyed...
Ah well. We'll all get used to em..
