Just a nice vid from pally pov of the tank group pug i ran on Saturday during the zergfest. was dead fun (shocking considering the amount of adds :p ) and the movie turned out great.
So prepare to be cheesed to death... (this movie must be rated 18 due to explicit content regarding the size of Turns penis)

Stop hammering the shit out of the bandwidth then :p

Sorry for the host, this vid was only originally meant to be for the group plus a few others, yet somehow its been DLed 168 times so far, hmmm.... <looks at Andy>.

Submitted it to camelotarchive, waiting to hear back, but thanks in advance if you can host it, will put link here when/if I get it. Anyone else able to host it if they want to would also be welcomed.

Just to give fair warning:
- It has very minimal editing as I have limited HD space atm, and needed to get it finished to clear it off before work on the next week.
- This is the second time the group has played together in this setup, lotsa mistakes there (mine being most prominent, my pally's PoV ;>). Aimed at being entertaining, not pwnageroxofkek :m00:
- No, we couldnt get Andy (Daemyr) to shut up :fluffle:
- X-Rated Ventrilo chat (make sure all young and impressionable children are out the room) and fucking awful music.

Tracklist below, but if you want to try and guess the tracks first...;)

Tom Jones vs. MC Hammer - U Can't Kiss This (DJ Jaakko)
Jackson Five vs The Hives - Jackson Hives (Electrosound)
The Timelords vs. Green day - Dr Who On Holiday (Dean Gray)
Metallica vs. Gorillaz - Sad Bad Clint (Metamix)
Enya vs. The Prodigy - Smack My Orinooco Flow Up (Apeboy)

First time I DL this it crashes at 96% and I have re-DL :/

Anyway, after actually watching the movie I'm happy to say this is a very nice quality video for a PUG group! You've never played before together and it shows at times, but you've done seriously well as a group imo, perhaps the RRs of most members helped, perhaps not. :)

The music was pretty nice as it highlighted the fact it's more of a laid back style of movie rather than a pwn-all movie (I will come back to this point) and I think you have answered the question of how to fit double the amount of songs in one movie!

Now back to the video quality; the voice comms element was brilliant and made me laugh, the picture was great and I liked the 2nd POV later on, it would be nice to see more movies from you if you ever decide to make them - but there are things you should consider, imo.

I know you're only a PUG (almost everything that night was a PUG) and you're highlighting what a tank group can do to other groups, however the fact you don't show a single loss disappointed me somewhat, as interesting as the fights themselves were, you knew who was going to come out on top unless you get 'added' on and I didn't feel I got a 'true' insight into what your tank group was like. That is a shame tbh.
I think the video could have improved from a longer overall length (I know people say quality over quantity, but I feel a bit lacking in both with this movie, even if it is only for an insight into your night of RvR, however what you did record was fun to watch :)

Based on the win/ loss factor - it is a shame, my PUG had many fair 8v8s with your group that night amongst the other groups that were roaming/ 'adding' around that area that you lost but were very fun while they lasted - you can still have fun even if you lose :p
There was plenty of 8v8, 8v8+, zerg and 3-way realm fights (which I guess were fun if you didn't do the 'adding' yourself and feel cheated when you get steamrolled in seconds.
With this is mind, I think it's a bit unfair of you to try and represent you weren't 'adding' so to speak on fights that night - I don't wish to spoil your thread with this so feel free to ignore it for the greater good - the style of RvR that night was that sometimes that you got steamrolled by 2fgs and then another adds, and they got added on etc, and all realms got caught between eachother; I use the term 'adding' loosely here btw, I'm not trying to cause offense, but everyone (from what I could see) was attacking other groups in that area given reasonable opportunity, possibly for revenge, but it was all fun and you guys were certainly no angels - my PUG atleast had a right laugh that night, as I can see you guys did too! I'm not using this as saying it was an excuse to add etc. all the time that night, but the situation in that area was certainly more hostile than you might want to admit, zerg and 8v8 fights were plenty!

I'm going to put my hands up and say that my group was the evil baddies of the movie, and I was actually the rr5 Lurikeen Chanter in yellow (I look rather good if I do say so myself ;D) That group was an alliance PUG and despite how it might have looked to you, our aim wasn't to spoil everybody elses fun that night and I don't recall intentionally adding on anyone apart from one mid group for revenge! I'm no angel either and I think if anyone claims the fact they are without given proof they're plain hypocrites heh. Anyway, after seeing your POV it does look pretty bad from what we appeared to do, it was in the past so I can't recall everything that night apart from overall it was seriously good fun - so I truly apologise on behalf of my group if we spoiled your fun, but atleast you got us in the end, eh? (Caught us at a bad time etc <cough> was the first night in fg RvR on Hib for most of that group if you're interested too btw!)

Anyway, overall a great video, I look forward to more tank groups (well actually as a caster I don't, hah) and more videos from you, and I love the jest in the video - I hope we can be friends please? :fluffle:
Was worth the DL!

There we a few fights there where we would have lost without adds imo :) (second fight vs Mids where noone goes for the BD). But we'll never know cos someone added :)p) Will be doing more tank pugs with similar people, hopefully the assist will improve and things will die in a more rapid manner.

I dont expect you to believe me, but that is in fact all the fights I recorded, apart from one versus a Mid group which I didnt use because they had alb adds :) Though I did stop recording at 9.30 after getting low on HD space and the cleric and theurg logging.

If you get a chance to see the vid from our first outing (not sure if its still hosted), I'm actually more than happy to show fights the group loses, as these vids were originally intended as reference material for sorting tictacs for the new setup, and I think you learn more from the fights you lose than the ones you win personally.

And no, certainly no hard feelings, its all a game, all a bit of fun :fluffle: The qq about adds you hear on vent isn't to be taking seriously either :D , even we tanks get in on the action by playing "Who can piss our support off the most by breaking CC and going out of range for heals"... hence the title:england:

Ah certainly no hard feelings from my side, I just wanted to make sure there was no strife :D as I said before, our prime objective that night was to have a bit of a laugh, and although my group kinda sucked at kiting you that time, we had our fair share of great fights; actually I think our Bard got a few on tape too :p Going off of what you said, that is very true, even though we make (numerous) cameos in your video, it is still useful for us (me atleast) to go over what we ourselves did wrong. I'll be having words with my fellow noobs in yellow, believe me - we're still learning and we ourselves would like a gg out, so it seems you've already got yourselves some friendly competition if you decide to run your groups again! :D

Oh and btw, gratz on rr6 Exemplar :p

From the beginning of the night through to the end we had adds on us in a lot of our fights; whether they were hib/mid or alb it doesn't particularly matter but it was annoying. Towards the end of the night we decided to get revenge and started to be less forgiving to groups who had killed us by adding earlier. We definitely weren't saints that night but although it's a schoolyard cliche which most probably wont beleive, 'They started it!' ;).

As for the future, I don't think anyone in our group wants to add or be added on and hopefully we'll be able to go off to agramon when we run it again.

http://www.filefactory.com/file/ed8600/ That's the address for the previous file if it's still up. The link is still there but I couldn't find the download button this time...heh

Bare in mind it was very much an instructional video where all mistakes were put in too.

Nice to include the fight where we have a sorc and wizard add, + a cleric or something, who are clearly visible in your video. Then you put up owned at the end of the fight. Then again, you've only won when you do have adds so.
