well ive just been looking on http://www.duskwave.com/daoc/alliancerank.php and noticed that alb has the most alliance's on the server and the alliance with the most guilds in is 9 guilds, but lookin at mids and hibs they have like 17 guilds in 1 alliance wouldnt it be better to do things like this with albion as it would get better response for when u need help with keep take or defense or even just with an arti u need or just info u need?

just an idea to make albion better as a realm

plz post ur comments on what u guys think

Yep I agree, fewer, larger, stronger guilds with a faster reaction time is the way to go .. problem is with teh Alb Ego Syndrome would probably be more fighting over who is going to lead teh new Super Alliance than against the Mid/HiB hordes lol.

Still if can be done maybe the albs can open a can of Whoop ass instead of Whooped ass :eek2:

I think it's a great idea, that way we'll get more organized as a realm on whole. However, all the albs in one alliance is going to introduce Spam (tm). How can you prevent that? Well, there'd have to be rules in place, however, the rules caused the eventual downfall of Unity..

It's the small people that eventually make the decision. :p A GM that acts against it's guilds will is being tremendously stupid and will cause a rip in the guild. (For example, Guardians of Vetutsa spread over Dark Llama Knights and Phoenix Legion, most people didn't want to go to DLK but the rip caused GoV to die so the rest merged with PL.)

peeps do realise that m8 but this game is designed towards working together and it would make it alot easier to comunicate if it was say 2 big alliances instead of 20 small 1's

Didn't work in the past, guess wouldnt work in the future. Need lesser number of alliances but tbh some smaller alliances can work extremly well with a little coordination. I actually was in huge alliance on Mid/Exc and no fukin way I would join to other one, sooner would respec my smiter to bb than that :p

Time to respec then! ;)
I'm all for the idea of a global alliance though, if done right it can be a tremendous asset to the realm as a whole. There'll probably be a few people who get upset over it, but eh, sacrifices have to be made! :)

5-6 smaller but big enough alliances would be better than 2 big ones like Unity or WR on Excal imo. A too huge alliance would kill /as. Its not only there for RvR related things you know, a restricted as is no fun. RvR oriented guilds wouldnt join to other guilds (kinda reasonable).

uniting the alliances is the way to go imo. i know many of you share the frustration of getting your respective ass's handed to you on a plate in RvR simply cuz we were out numbered by an under populated realm
the guild i'm currently in has no alliance and i'll give you an example of what this means.
me and 3 guildies took Eras T1 in the wee hours of the night. when then laid siege on the keep from around 1am to 9am. we destroyed the wall and the keep by this time as well as getting T1 to lvl 10. our cries for help fell on deaf ears as we could only communicate with the guild. the keep was defended by 7 hibs and in the end we had to give up. the keep was eventually repair'd and the tower retaken. the aspects of the game allows for multiple guilds giving each grp of ppl their individuality. imo ppl need that. but the alliance is there to bring unity to those grps to work together as a realm. i don't mind who leads the alliance. just need someone who's level headed with good RvR sence. there are several out there who fit that bill. albion has the numbers and it has great players. but it doesn't matter how good you are. on your own is on your own.

/as should only really be granted to ppl who are rvr active tbh, other than that make it the higher ranked members of guilds that can only use /as, they can then relay on info to guild.
Are we goin to try and take steps to make this happen guys? speakin is no good :p

It's definately a valid point and not one that I think is going to be solved quickly.

However, when logging in I always look to see who has a BG up and where (/who BG); if it's in the Frontiers I join it. If people get into the hang of doing this or starting one if none available then you suddenly have an 'Albion Alliance Battle Group'. Leadership is always the problem though - usually noone wants to take charge, but when someone does take 'the bull by the horns', things can quickly snowball and relic raids can happen .. albeit rarely.
If people can get into this habit then things will happen.

Go to 'www.prydwen.co.uk', register and raise the point there too; a dedicated Albion Forum where things could happen with more input.

I agree but this would require things like teamplay, cooporation and god forbids acting friendly and mature ... not things common in Alb

Way to many ego's to fit in one alliance

tbh won't work, didnt work in past an won't work in the futur. Problem is alb has all the roleplayers inthe game so kinda makes an RvR alliance harder.

Won't work unless you put Alliances together which already work the same.
As some people use /as to fool around and talk about everything while others only want /as to be used for RvR or other important information, which will all result into flames if the rules aren't set with like what you can and cannot say on /as but as many people just want to say whatever they want in /as it would just not work.

I currently really like the GoP alliance /as as it's always fun and some people just spam random shit (Hi Corran!) but also important RvR information.
Can remember the unity alliance when someone got flamed for asking how much a DF seal was worth selling for on /as... really don't want to be in an alliance like that..

I totally agree here, Unity was a laugh to to use /as for things other then RvR. God i had some fun with that (like making Laird stay logged in after going bed till he ld'd simply to log what i said on /as ). Oh they were the days.

GoP's current alliance is great. You have serious times, you have times where you just pissing around. /who <guild> /send <person> and you got messages to other alliances inside 30seconds.

And Andrilyn... me... spam random shit..... Never :p
