Aid for Alainn Bin quest

Has anyone completed this quest?

I stumbled across it more or less by accident and there doesn't seem to be anything on warcy or alakhazam about it.

I'm on the last step which is to kill the siabra queen and wondered if the reward (a staff) is worth the effort

i actually quite like doing new quests. where does it start?

I dont think its a new quest, I was looking through the 1.53 patch notes when I noticed the following:

" Aid for Alainn Bin - Players that have completed this quest may choose to return to Rois in the Bog of Cullen to exchange their staff. The new staves are level 50, they have charges instead of procs, and they give a single higher spell focus instead of two lesser ones. "

Couldn't find anything out about it, so I took a trip to Alainn Bin as the patch notes mentioned a NPC there.

The NPC didn't want to talk to me but I rembered Chieftess Dana had a fairly long dialogue. Clicked on her and the first line of dailogue mentioned speaking to Mairona in Howth about supplies (you can skip this part).

Went to Mairona in Howth and got the quest. She sent me to Malachy in Innis with the supplies (got an xp reward for delivering them). He then sent me to Rois in Alainn Bin with an arms shipment (got another xp reward for delivering that).

Now it got interesting she sent me to kill a banshee to get a wailing gem. Returned the gem (got another xp reward) and got sent to kill a raven wraith and then the siabra queen.

Managed to kill the raven wraith but didnt fancy taking on the queen solo

think i may have to track this quest down, anyone know if the reward changes depending on class?

I'm not sure, my druid didn't get the quest.

I think the lvl 21 Treasure Hunt quest may be a prerequisite though as the storyline seems to follow on from that.

I'm pretty sure I haven't done that with my druid (but cant log on to check atm )

lol Boni has had this in his journal for years, its well old. Gimme a shout if you want to do it

afaik the reward is a naff multifocus staff, it was upgraded a bit but its still gimpy (sub 50 focus and some unimpressive stats) certainly not worth the hassle.

Think its mage only.

And lowbie (neutral to siabs) to pull the siabqueen would be nice.
