Aid a n00b in need!

hi there!

i've finaly got a somewhat steady internet connection and thinking of trying out DAoC again. but two problems have arisen:

1) i think i have a US account still open (since i can't remember shutting it down and noticed the subscription fee on my account about 2 months ago) but can't remember how to patch the daoc client the us servers, and my search results on this forum bears no fruit. so, i'm turning my hope to you. anyone that can write a small guide how to get access to the US servers?

2) what's a good UI? does Mxn still work and if so, where can i get it?
