I might just be my display setup, but that screenshot looks fine, which would suggest that it's your monitor which is at fault. Has it been near any magnets or is your mobile phone nearby?

Kind Regards

Edit ~ If you believe it may be this, try degaussing your monitor (if you're using a CRT monitor, that is). Although most monitors do this when turned on, you should find there is an option to do it manually, which is more thorough and will hopefully resolve your troubles.

cant u see the green tingest down the left of the scrollbar? :(

my monitor was fine before i took out the gfx card to put the fan in. maybe i did summat to the connection between the card and the monitor? no magnets or phones has been put near the monitor.

arghhh

In that case, check the cable running from your graphics card to your monitor is firmly in place. You may want to try degaussing your monitor too, just in case (I'm assuming doing it once won't do any harm :)).

I can't see any green tinge.

What about your speakers, are they close to the monitor ?

Just a guess, but it could be one of those "Colour correction" things, Either Software or hardware, Usually monitors have a button which brings up options and stuff, check in there for a colour correction setting maybe its got green too high? Also check in the software colour correction thing, usually you can find it by looking in Desktop>Properties

On the other hand, It could be green because you come to BW too much and the green has burnt itself into the monitor ;)

I've had coloured tinges before on TVs and monitors, caused by the presence of strong electro-magnetic fields:

I placed my 5.1 subwoofer next to the telly (it's not huge, but boy did it shag the picture) :D moved it away, fixed.

Placed cheapo -suppoosedly shielded- computer speakers under monitor!

Placed monitor on top of dodgy old amplifier!

Left old lab magnet on desk (near montor!)

Generally the coulouration indicates where the em interference is coming from!

Once all sources of em fields are removed, try turning your monitor off & on, wait 20 mins then try de-gaussing it once (if you de-gauss too frequently it b0rks the degaussing circuit!)

See how you get on :D

Degauss To remove magnetism from a device. The term is usually used in reference to color monitors and other display devices that use a Cathode Ray Tube (CRT). These devices aim electrons onto the display screen by creating magnetic fields inside the CRT. External magnetic forces -- such as the earth's natural magnetism or a magnet placed close to the monitor -- can magnetize the shadow mask, causing distorted images and colors.

To remove this external magnetic forces, most monitors automatically degauss the CRT whenever you turn on the monitor. In addition, many monitors have a manual degauss button that performs a more thorough degaussing of the CRT. You can also use an external degausser that degausses the monitor from the outside. Since it may be impossible to remove the external magnetic force, degaussing works by re-aligning the magnetic fields inside the CRT to compensate for the external magnetism.
Check the buttons on the front of your display. If they open and operate an on screen menu, which allows you to adjust the display size and such, then you may find the degauss option is located in there - you don't necessarily have to have a special degauss button to press.

Kind Regards
