The more and more I think about ..the less I want OF back ..from a solo point of view ..we already have an agramon and it blows ..some nights its packed some nights its not but what u dont see there are ones and twos cause its too fucking big and to search it all and find no grps becomes very tedious ..

Well OF was rly a zerg fest, as it is now atleast u have the coise what kind of rvr u want. as hib emain blowed bigtime atleast as soloer. 15 mins walk solo avoiding agro just to run into amg or mmg to have ALOT of stealthers camping it Todays caster zerg would just mean every realm camped a milegate realm depending on time and numbers and the opted grps would be even more caster heavy to farm the zerg

With the ammount of players we have in NF these days and becuase of the Shear size of the ammount of player on both Pryd and Excal... take this into account

NF has the size needed to hold the ammount of players we currently have, and with time (given time) there wont be an Pryd/Excal cluster anymore, there will just be ONE server (after they.. remove alot of the bugs and stuff) but if u got back OF today and u ran out past Ligen/Cain and headed for Emain... LMAO.. oh jesus is doesnt bear thinking about, the server wood literaly pop

and forget that... Try actually FIT 7 keeps each having 4 towers inside Hibs frontier albs frontier and mids frontier... together with the ammount of players, WOW thats really asking for trouble (AND DONT FORGET THE RELICS NEATHER!!)

The fact that Mythic doesn't give us OF back has absolutely nothing to do with the fact they're not developing WAR ... it has everything to do with the fact that it's a dumb idea.

Kind of funny that in the past when excalibur had 3000+ people logged in at once (note: about twice as much as prw and excali combined at the moment) the OF server handled it okay most of the time. I think it could handle half the old numbers easily...

well really the post name was about new 45-49 bg, not OF/NF so the choices you gave weren't really all that good. They were totally off topic. But i chose stick with NF. Nothing wrong with it.

Anyhow. It could be good. I'll pl up another something to try it out. Maybe do up ani and have some bomber fun or something ... whatever. If it's crap i just stick to my leirvik hero. With the occassional proper rvr if there's irvr in emain.
I hates irvr in mid land. Keeps are 10 miles apart, by the time you get to your destination you're dead. Not to mention all the whiteness. Give greener pastures in mid land!!

Indeed, OF has memories that NF haven't offered for me. Part of this is because back then the general attitude wasn't as "wannabe elitist" crap like it is nowadays.

Back then you also knew lot of people because you actually had to level the character (not so needed later after lot of lvl50 people and pl groups started) and group with people. With those people I mainly mean the people that you did not know already. This pve grouping helped people to be together longer than some typical 1 run wonder PUG grps do. And rvr groups lasted better atleast from my point of view.

On PUGs nowadays and later in the OF the general rule seems to be that the higher RR you are, the faster you leave, and usually with some excuse that most likely is made up. Also the higher RR on big part of people seems to make them more rude and ofc they whine like hell.

The lack of PUGs is also what I don't like at all. It is practically useless to be lfg nowadays, no matter what the class you would play with. Imo the PUGs in somewhat 90% of the cases are still more enjoyable for me than soloing. Never have liked the soloing in the game and same goes with sports and other games for me, grp/team is the thing.

And totally of the topic (even more than this OF conversation already was) the grp/team/realm attitude is why I don't give a shit if someone adds on my fight (if im in grp or as solo) because the enemy must die! Lot of time I respect the other peoples attitude and I don't add on their 1on1 and sometimes I add. From now on if you see Lochlan/Daigh and variants of the name fighting someone, as been forced to solo crap, add away and kill the bastards! Do not give them pleasure of a win/rps, just kill them, they are the enemies. I would change my lastname to something like "YouMayAddOnMyFights", but Prydwen people, HELLO PRYDWEN!, wouldn't see it and those kinda names are stupid even tho I don't consider myself as a roleplayer.

All that I said are my personal opinions and views and they don't apply to all people. E.g. all high RR people ain't rude and immature...

I find the entire idea behind the new BG kinda sad, regardless of the fact that it looks to be a great zone to rvr in, but the main thing is that the last thing an already small population needs is further segregation.

If adding that nice little zone, use it for something useful imo (read use it to replace a NF zone) instead of wasting it on another bloody BG doing nothing but split people up even more.

NF with all dem towers, new RA's (like DI bb crap), fooking boat trips, more areas/bgs makes me wanna puke. There seems to be always less people, and when some new server type is released (pvp, classic) people disappear even more. In my opinion Prydwen/Excal cluster has only made the painfull and bitter end bit further away. People dividing to many servers in my opinion causes all these servers to be much less enjoyable. Soon there might be as few peeps as in Camlann?

Port waiting to Odin and HW / running to Emain was not so much fun, but boat trips in my opinion are even worse.

And yes, porting to irvr might be good on some points, but somehow I don't like it. Even tho lack of groups makes if feel better than it is because can get faster to solo with speedless char.

i remember OF something like that:
hadrians: eighter dead or me being chased by duos/trios with only a very odd solo fight
odins: stealth zergs and fullgrups
emain: Zounds! at mmg's

The only thing i remember being nice was the relic defence (and ofc the relic attacks) where you could see every hib logging his lvl50 and hurrying to defend and leet rvr guilds fighting side by side with the not so leet ones.

True enough, but when the zones crashed, they really crashed hard

44-49 BG would be great if they stopped players below level 50 being able to activate artifacts or have ML's and have it like DL where bots or inactive players are instantly ported to an rvr area (or even ported out of the BG) if inactive for too long (i.e. death of buffbots).

when this patch becomes true, we gonna have server status at 3k+, log in run around NF , find nothing, only to do /who 49 = 1000 matches, per realm ^^, ...for a week ...

only the nostalgy of OF would make me play OF tbh, but we will have again limitations of the usual kind, playing with /xpoff or /rpoff isnt fun tbh
and everyone being same rr isnt fun tbh, and not gaining anything over killing others
