ages since i played qw, what do i need?

allo, as mentioned in the subject and in another thread... its been ages since i've played this and the last time i did was back when cheapo was out in 08.02.99 so im a bit out of touch about what stuff is needed to get back to playing.

would someone be able to point me to a list of needed updates to play on any of the servers or provide the the list in this thread (or show me the thread thats dedicated to that i missed in my dimwitted state).
