Yes, but I openly admit I never gave it a chance. For the last 3 years of uni my eardrums were polluted by a bunch of gangsta rap loving mates, playing dogshit from the likes of 50 Cent, Kanye West, Eminem etc. I tried to like it for the sake of argument but I could just never bring myself to.

Little history lesson. NWA had a member called Dr Dre. Dr Dre set up Aftermath, a gangsta rap label. 50 Cent is on Aftermath. Hence 50 Cent is gangsta rap.
