Afk macroing

caught 2 cheeky gits camping one of the best high end levelling spots in the game today. they were there for HOURS, so in the end I got pissed off with waiting and reported them.

they'd macro'd cure/heal on pet, nearest enemy every minute, attack, and pickup loot. 6g a kill too, they must have made a fortune they length of time they were there. so cheeky.

Silliest thing i've ever seen was when sombody tried to setup a macro to do god knows what (i'd assume crafting) screwed up and ended up spamming /gu chat with what he'd said previously. In the end he didn't get removed for macro-using but because we were getting so pissed off with being unable to say anything in /gu due to the amount of spam (think about half the speed of 'Guard kill spam' when a PBAE group is trying to take a keep). Some people's children eh?

Back to the topic though, good for reporting them. Macro users get on my nerves.

this was a major problem when i played lineage 2 part of the reason i left.
the way to deal with this is just hit there mob on the final blow so you get the drop it will soon stop them.

Except that doesnt work in DAOC and will even get you suspended for a day or 3 ?

Which high level spot drops 6g per kill though ?

Have a rank in the guild without ANY rights?? No /as speak/listen, no /gu speak/listen etc.
We have that for accounts that get hacked, ppl that biach in /gu (little brothers can be a pain) and in general to remove all unwanted stuff from /gu till we have worked things out. That rank has been used 3 times within the last 2 years as far as I can remember.

Oh we had such a rank on Excal for when fights got out of control... It shuts them up rather fast

I wanted a "punishment" rank in FoM.. suggested it several months ago but noone liked the idea Wouldn't have used it that much but in some cases I would have liked to just /gc demote instead of /gc remove

I don't blame them tbh, we've got a similar rank in Tiwaz (this it was actually added shortly after afore mentioned incident as I recall) - its heavily open to abuse from officers, even if they only mean it as a joke. I mean the first time, fair enough its funny. But after the 20th time it does start to piss you off

Thats wrong imo, but Im sure if the members point out that its over the line they will stop.

1) Aye there are, but it's a tad unfair to go to the best one and AFK, not just killing but looting too.
