AE dot kiting

Any mentalist that knows the trick of AE dot kiting?

Atm I am 17 at bantams but having some problem, I AE dot, sprint until I see 4:th tick then turn get another one off. But here always some that decide to turn back and some decide to hunt me.

which makes me unable to finish off the fleeing half.

Should I wait till they turn first time or what?

I can solo 3-4 at the same time but when I get those major pulls like 9-10 I often die or only manages to finish 3-4 off them off.

I read a similar trick for Cabalists - don't know if it works for you or not, but you can stack the dots. You therefore cast the first and then immediately quickcast a second - then run away and turn back to repeat.

I did that quite a lot to kill the orange con mobs that appeared when I was clearing yellows... (damn enchanters probably laugh at that)

But you'll probably need to wait till you get a longer duration stun, then you can pull with dd, get both dots off and stun, move back, maybe get another dd in and if the mob doesn't die then you can either melee or qc another nuke/dot and it should do the trick.

Resists is another matter altogether.. and my spec is 36 mana 36 light so maybe my damage output would be a little higher than the average mana ment.

The best way to use aoe dot with cabalist is to get a lot of blue/yellow/orange mobs in a camp that aggro and tell your cabby pet to tattack with dmg sheild on then aoe dot then stick dmg sheild back on, rinse and repeat. I could kill about 10 m,obs fast at a time like that, shame it used alot of power and sometimes had to break for healing the pet

Posted on VNboards apparently our dots are not intbased yet and can't do enough damage to AE kite

Aaah well.

The bigger problem is that our AE DoTs only tick 4 times at the moment.. int he upcoming 1.52 patch, they'll tick 6 times
