Advice on making an infiltrator

Hi, I was wondering what the best thing to spec and to boost at char creation would be for the best assasin type infil. Oh and would it be possible to be one of the new blue ppl, I like those

Spec fully in gimp, keep stealth low, use only grey con items, you should do well.

Only kidding, i found keeping envenom close to level, good points in crit strike and a few in dual weild. Some also go for a dmg style (eg thrust) but I cant see the use for it at low levels.

Also use 3 weapons, one in teh 2 slot. This will allow you to use 3 types of poison, changing styles after the 2nd or 3rd hit, very effective IMO.

Check catacombs for other ppl ideal infils.

Yes, it's possible to become an inconnu infiltrator. I think Briton is the best race for infiltrator, but Inconnu are the coolest .

I think its best to keep thrust at your lvl or at least 2/3 ur level. Also then concentrate on envenom, crit strike and maybe some in duel wield, but i think u get enough styles through CS. I would wait untill higher lvls until u train in stealth, but still put a few points in to use backstab effectivley.

Stealth auto trains to 1/4 your level, however its dam hard using back stab with low stealth, rock and a hard place kinda thing, do you take the free points in stealth or level it?

Always auto stealth.
If you plan for the higher rr:s, go 33 stealth & envenom, 34 cs, 50 thrust and 39 dw.

Unless you going to solo, in which case you`ll need stealth anyway, neglect cs until it`s time for emain, and just invest into thrust, dual wield and if points over, envenom.

every time you come to your trainer just roll /random 6 and put points in appropriate line, you will cap everything at 50 anyway

ps. 50 thrust 44 cs 35 stealth 35 envenom whatever left (~20) in dual

If you have limited time (eg no 40 hours a week for DAoC) then the next template wil help you. This is including SC.

Level 24:
CS 21 (+3)
Thrust 18 (+5)
Stealth 19 (+5)
Envenom 15 (+5)
Dual 1 (+5)

So you can have fun at BG1 and then grow to the next template:

Level 50 (Incl Realm Rank 2):
CS 39 (+11)
Thrust 50 (+2)
Stealth 37 (+13)
Envenom 37 (+13)
Dual 21 (+13)

This will give you always the best DoT poison, best stealth and best Critic strike posible. In general you are very leathal.

I use this template with my Sarcen, +10 on Qui, Dex & Str. Do not melee, and flee whenever your targets get assists, DoT fails or Perforate Fails. But in general, bards, casters, etc are a 1 hit drop dead. (except bone master with they're healing pets).

Also use SC to max your body resist......

aye i haven't been one hit dropped since reaching 50, and now that i've got full sced armour theres no way an assasin will be able to pa me and run leaving poison to finish the job, normally lose 2/3rds health or less from a pa (guessing no crit here)

Does CS affect damage output for all styles or just CS styles or not at all? I know the main weapon spec(thrust in this case) affects both CS styles and normal styles damage, but would someone with 50 thrust and 34CS hit as hard as someone with 50thrust and 44CS when doing PA for example?

Darn, I was gonna go 50 crit, 50 dual, 34 poison, 34 stealth (autotrain stealh to lvl44). But if base trust add to dmg in crit, then I donno

I have to agree wih Apathy and Whoodoo, but thay forgot to mention:

To ensure victory, u have to have a full smite buffdoll (for the last self. dmg buff), place him between doors at amg or the middle of bowl, for easy accses (CS could do, If ur hunting in Emain or Odins). Dont bother with the STR, DEX and CON buffs thay will take to much time, and u could miss a port. U might wanna have "REL" on ur 1st QB (/macro REL /release) this is only for the advanced.

errr.... this is totally wrong...

Get your facts straight before blurting...

above 50 total CS you get diminishing returns, and those diminishing returns are bad....

Putting those over-the-cap points in DW make you hit more often with offhand, which raises total damage over time.

Not that it's wrong to say that 44 CS is good, but 39 or 36 CS does NOT suck... (34 is a bit low though, you would need RR6 to reach 50).

39 CS vs 50 CS natural will be 20% less dmg
