Well my 1 meg adsl is getting installed within the next 2 hours

So im off to hug my isdn box that has served me well for the last year and a half






Im so happy.

Only if you get a problem as their tech support sucks. But I have to say I usually only get 1-2 days down time a year really..not that bad.

I dont get much downtime but there news service is fucking appauling and customer services is a joke.

Adsl was 7 miles up the road but not here so i had to get ISDN.

But finally as you know my day has come.

No i never moved. I just took the best con i could get at the time which was isdn

No, sorry, what Im saying is, have you moved since then? If not, how come your getting 1meg ADSL over 7miles (or any ADSL tbh) I NEED DETAILS DAMMIT.

There was no exchange here so we could not get adsl just isdn.


7 miles up the road they could get adsl.



Now over a year or so later we have an exchange here so i can get it

Once you have it, test your speed with something like http://ocean.zen.co.uk.

The speedtest on adslguide is good too, but I prefer doing a real download. You may find you can tweak your connection with a handy program called drtcp (google it). Go to this site which is by a pipex user but can relate to any connection, and click the adsl tweaks link at the bottom of the page. By messing with my rwin and mtu I've got my speedtest results up from 930ish to over 1000kbps.

OK, I know as well as the next man it's not much in real terms, but it's always nice to see you're getting the most you can.
