ADSL rears its ugly head again...

Okay. I've decided. Can't get any flavour of cable in my area, so ADSL it is.

I've done meh research on USB500 services (would prefer to use a NIC but its double the cost) and narrowed it down to two providers:

Nildram - (£150 Installation - £42.50 per month)
Jolt - (£75 Installation - £42.50 per month)

Jolt are favourite with cheaper installation and 'direct' connection to their servers, but Nildram are the established ADSL peeps.

Just wondered if anybody had particular praise or horror stories from either of these two, or could recommend an alternative.

Perplex - I can't get cable in my area. (Should hopefully cut down on a flame or two ;))

You're all lovely.

Heh heh. Just noticed this on the Jolt site.

If Jolt's offer is half the installation price yet uses the Nildram network it would appear that I've answered my own question. :D

I believe Jolt has always run on nildrams network......Jolt was sort of like the poor mans Nildram when it first appeared.

Right. Can't be arsed to arse about. Ordered Jolt/Nildram ADSL this evening. Hopefully it'll be installed before Christmas so I can enjoy the festive break shooting Nazis and downloading pr0n at high speed.

i think nildram actually sponsored jolt, and they was some kinda issue about when the parted on bad terms, nildram stopped there users accessing jolt powered servers/facilities - that's wot i saw sumwhere anyway -

Think it's all norm now tho :D
