ADSL Pings

OK - heres a question for you ADSL buffs. If I am on the same exchange as someone else - what ping will I get to them?

Will it be twice the ping it takes to get to the exchange? Or will it be really fast?

Am I the only person on the net that likes these people?

• Thier support is brilliant - no waiting time
• My installation was free (rather than £75 or £150)
• They are cheaper than everyone else (£39)
• I get no PL problems
• My ping is the same or better than anyone else on any other ADSL line

Well of all the ADSL lines they put in, one or two are bound to work. It's the law of averages and all that.

I have NTL cable

Ok the support is absolutely cr4p
I got free install as well
I pay £20
I havent had any upstream problems in a long while
I get one of the best pings on most uk servers (apart from by)
I get to run on Ethernet not USB!

My point I suppose is that its different for everyone - I have a good connection most days. par example I have spent the last 3days 7hours downloading 7.5Gb of stuff (movies mostly) and my conn has been rock steady.

BTOpenworld are great, so are Microsoft. It's just human nature to support the underdog.

Customer care is absolutely crap though.
