Why are BT STILL being so tightfisted when it comes to internet access???

We finaly get ADSL ( years behind every other developed country in the world ) And its cut in 1/12 - 500k instead of 6 Mbit. Its also rediculously expensive, ( right in line with other internet costs in UK )
What is going on , and what are OFTEL / The Goverment doing?? - NOTHING!

Anyone live in Hull, this is one place in the UK where Kingston technologies have layed down their telecomunications network.
In HULL FULL SPEED ADSL is £14.99 per month, £14.99!!!( okay, thats from memory )

Therefore there is no reason why if you live in a town /city BT cant charge at least this low and make a profit !!!!!!!!

But no, they will want to flog their new cheap ( in comparison to the rediculously high prices of the last god knows how long ) £35 per month unlimited internet time. This is still way too much!!
In Hull I can pay for 2 ADSL lines for that cost!!!

BT announces how great they are with the billions they made last year, does that not mean they can charge consumers less for their services?

I have paid the huge phone bills for a few years now, im running out of patience. And hearing tony Blair waffle on about how he wants the internet to grow in this country, when looking at the cost this is just not going to happen at the speed it is in A LOT of other countries

Bt are continuing to get this
" free lunch " in the form of a big wad of cash from the uk public, and its just not fair.

Guess its the same as Cars/CDs/DVDs in this country, we are taken for a ride.

Not checked for spelling etc, writtin on the fly ( when i was angry ) :)

Connection and instilation is free-but for the trial u must pay £49.99 a month cos thats the price BT are whacking on freeserve to do the trial early.

But hey it could be worth it...im already signed on
