Hey, I was wondering if the admins or someone will be recording demos of the matches, that way we can see everyone play instead of just scores.

I hope not, I'd like to keep our tactics to our clan please.

I don't want 6 months of work available for anyone to download and watch ta.

Final screen shot of the scores is all you need.

mmmm

Streaky has a good point......All the planinng a tactics could be used by other clans against you if the vid was ever realesed on this webiste as a download or something or the admin decided to release to his m8 who pass it to his m8 who was in a clan in BWEFL....paranoid....yep i am......lol

But....... It would also be nice to view your own clan matches so that u can alter tactics....see what went well and what sucked tactics wise

Bit of a catch 22 really :(

And another valid point...

Also, demo recording is renowned for causing extreme lag.
Therefore, it should not be allowed.
In my opinion, there should only be 1 speccie in any league match, that being the admin.

Ok. Ok. I give. LOL It would be nice to see how others play so I could try and improve my own game, but I can understand how others don't want to give away all their tactics. However, after you've played anothe clan for a bit, you get a general feel for how they play. I have also seen a lot of moves that people have been doing, but I have no idea how it's done and watching a demo doesn't tell you how to do it either, just that it can be done. Still, if everyone is always hoarding tactics and moves, then it really doesn't come down to the skill of a particular player, unless everyone knows the same moves. A bit off the subject, but I've wanted to start a multi-clan training camp, so people who are just starting out playing don't have such a horrible time getting fragged by the experienced people that they give up on it before they have a chance to truly experience how fun it is.

Nope nope nope, no demos...admins caught doing this will be castrated and forced to put the wrld tag in their name the entire day. Oh the shame. ;)

Teflon: are you implying that recording a demo upsets the server for others or just the demo-recorder is affected? If it's option 1, I'd be interested in seeing some evidence of this as I've never come across it. And if it's option 2, I'd imagine that's just personal preference. I have recorded quite a few clan matches I have played in and experienced no perceptible difference.

Spankster: you're not thinking of denying players the right to record their own games I hope? Incidentally, the admin recording a demo could be an invaluable resource if anything untoward crops up during a match - making it possible to sort a situation without having to wade through endless misinterpretations.

Streaky: you're still my bitch btw

Demo Recording

Yes m8,
Whenever I have recorded a demo, it has caused probs on the server for the players, they moved a bit slower and the fps dropped.
I used a little proggie called "efrec"

If ne1 has a better method, I would love 2 know how?
