Admining Question

I heard someone a few weeks back mention that the admins have BOTs, to monitor the Servers for names such as "HELP CHEATER" or "HELP ADMIN", does this work is all i wanna know, and if you change your name are they which i stated the correct names?

afaik thats bs, if u need an admin u gotta come to #bwadmins on Quakenet.

and anyone with HELP CHEATER deserves kicked. it helps to catch cheaters if they dont think they are being watched

You shouldnt say a thing if you suspect someone of cheating, and you should certainly not say your getting an admin. It just warns potential cheaters to be cautious and turn their h4x off for a while. Be silent and get an admin from IRC, there should be someone available to assist you. Then rejoin the server if you want, but just dont tell anyone about there being an admin there, stealth is a good weapon against cheaters. ;)

Yeah, i was just wonderin, because it was mentioned on one of the admin/cheater threads a few weeks back, but didnt take much notice at the time

It actually exists in AdminMod, you can enable it so that people who chance their name to ADMIN_NEEDED call an admin, I've seen it on DoD servers, but never on CS servers though.

But the CS servers dont use adminmod so what are you all going on about?

And I got to say, if we did use it, it would be one feature that would stay disabled. nohting worse than a cheater being tipped off by someone changing their name to admin_needed or slagging them off.

Heh, had the most fun in CS in ages last night. Went to BY11 with isuck and Carl1ing...

Who would have thought that such upstanding admins from BW would be such arseholes on BY!

Its the first time i have ever been called a cfg hacker becouse I use notepad to open my cfg.

Hehe. I wasn't gonna get banned. Well, maybe I was but that wasn't the point. IT WAS THE PRINCIPAL OF IT ALL GAWD DANG IT!

Well, I don't care what BY say. That guy was so dodge. I JUST had to shoot him in the head with my scout. The voices made me do it...

Plus I was bored as we were ownzing Nuke too much :/

hey, i was doing well on that server... i even got a knife kill

the fact that it was dolly, with a horrible ping, and he spawned beside me is incidental.

although by servers are terrible for cheats and morons. nothing but spam the entire game. god damn plebs i tells ya.

oh and dolly getting warned after a guy ran in front of him while he was scout-ing seemed a bit stupid tbh. although proceedign to kill the guy he wounded at the start of the next round was naughty, even though the guy seemed to be cheating.

what do i care though, by is by, bw is bw... and dolly is a good little sheep when he's playing at home :)
