Admin of Public Barrys Servers

SAD admin needs to be sorted asap. the present arangements are just not working.

At the moment the pubby servers r well fekked... DM maps running on half the CTF servers.. The single siege server is running CTF and there is no way to sort it.

With T1 all anyone would need to do is to go into #BWTL to get things sorted out asap. Unfortunately atm the Admins there do not have SAD access so all they can do is pass it on to #Barrysworld where no-one takes a blind bit of notice for hours on end....

Sp c'mon barrys admins and get your act together by giving the T1 admins the T2 SAD as well..

I'm on daytimes and around the weekends. Last weekend I sorted out this problem (resetting ctf servers to ctf), but I agree we need more public admins.

I think xtro is working on this atm

I got booted off a server day before yesterday. I joined, 1 minute later a vote had started. It didnt pass, then next map he called another vote and it passed. This moron had -4 from last map, dont even remember seeing him. Probably saw my other vote bashing post on the forum and decided to piss me off.
Oh well....

Since BWmod is pretty flexible I would recomend a whole army of admins with limited power, disable vote kicking or at least up the % needed a whole bunch.

BTW i have 3 years of server admining experience and currently run 4 CS servers *hint hint*

You can apply to be an admin to maurader (mailto:marauder1@barrysworld.com), crunchy (mailto:crunchy@barrysworld.com) or Xtro who are the Tribes 2 liaisons afaik.

We are looking into the admin situation at the moment, we know about issues on the servers with llamas etc and are trying our best to resolve them. Deathace is the man for all this and he has a hell of a lot of other work to do too so bare with us, it will be resolved Remember, any issues with servers etc should go via the liaisons or admins, they will then work there way up the "tree" Admin -> Liaison -> Deathace until they are resolved.

Im a pubby admin, and generally on IRC from 10:30am to about 2am, any probs, gimme a shout. I idle in #bwtl as fatgit, fg|whatever, whatever git etc, so just pm me.

SAD wise, its sorted. Pubby admins are authed via WON ID when they join

I have just sorted new staff for Tribesnation, am finalising the BWT2L Fun Cup and League along with the other admins and am working on public servers/admins to boot. Deathace is the server King and I'll be talkin to the old fella this week - its on my shit list .

We do have a Tribes 2 admin sorted, they are given admin automatically. The Tribes 2 admin list is not the same as the Tribes 1 one. The current list is as follows:

We will most probably be taking some more admins on, as someone pointed out it is invite only. As to the other problems there is some issues with the map roatation in bwadmin which we're looking into.

Just spoken to Deathace and the CTF maps running DM thing is actually a Tribes 2 problem rather than bwadmin. ATM you can't run mulitple servers from the same installation without the preferences overwriting each other. Deathace is working on a temp fix and I can work a fix into bwadmin 1.02.

I've got round this on Wireplay by copying the install directory, eg:

c:\Tribes2\GameDataCTF
c:\Tribes2\GameDataCnH

I basically then run one server per GameData directory and it keeps the relevant ServerPrefs. That said, I'm pissed as hell with Dynamix that it should be necessary to do this, as it hardly makes for tidy servers, but a fix in bwadmin 1.02 would be great.
