Admin in here pls. Is this the welcome I get to BW

Hi all

I am new to Barrysworld and was trying out some of your CS servers for the first time with my pal Starskey.
Thinking that we should really bring a impact into the cs world within BW, I was welcome by one of your resident CS clans *SA* Souless Assasins they called themselves in the most UNPLEASANT way possible.

For 3 WHOLE maps these proud cs troopers constantly sent message after message whining how both myself and my partner in crime that we were cheating, see wall cheat, comm link and everything else under the sun. You name it we got it

Despite our protests and to our amusement these guys were actually convincing everyone in the opposite team that we were acutally cheating and everything else they accused us of?

Now to get to the point is, NEVER have i ever suffered so much abuse and constant moaning in a game of CS. Wave after wave of abuse and swearing it got to the point i was doing more typing than playing cs. EVERY single time i fired a gun or support or help cover my partner in any way i was accused of cheating. Is there some rule in BW that being a newbie here that i was not allowed to play well.??

Open threats such as being reported etc were coming in thick and fast it got to the point i was not allowed to do anything without a hail of abuse and profanites.

I hope not all clans within BW are like this as if u think this is the way to respond to good players then i am afriad u seen nothing yet in the big wide open world of cs.

You make it sound like these kind of players are limited to BW, they're not. Its sad that it happens but hay, shit happens and you just have to ignore it and if you can't then you shouldn't bother playing CS at all.

I myself have been called a cheat but I don't get in to an arguement about it and thus find that less people notice.

It's not just BW but every CS server in the world getting problems like this. If it happens again grab me in #barrysworld on IRC and I'll come and sort it out.

As SAS says this kind of problem is very widespread. However at BW we have public Liaisons for various games to try and minimise it. If you get excess hassle from people who are being unquestionably unreasonable come into #barrysworld and look for SAS or myself.

I am not an admin but have been playing on BW for about 2 years now, and I think it is one of the better servers out there, due to admin doing a pretty fine job. As far as people calling you a cheat and verbally abusing you, I would take no notice of the minority as the majority are great. Not all clans behave this way, and if I found any of my clan members behaving like this on a public server (or any server for that matter), I would serverly repremand them and fine them a case of beer.

It wasn't really the abuse as someone rightly pointed out you get that everywhere you go on any CS server.

It got to the point it plain shocking to see a clan caliber players whine and moan so much, basically getting their knickers in a twist because a few good players manage to get their act together. Personally Starskey and I have practise loads and know which spots to look and how to cover each other but i don't think i need to explain the rest.

*SA* you guys will go far in the CS, why not form a Kindergarten League where u can shoot more often with your mouth rather than your gun.

btw for future reference where u go to get admin help if need be?

You are going to have to get use to this some people just can't admit that you are better and have to make some excuse up my advise it to ignore them some people do cheat but you can tell when they are looking at walls and firing and killing peeps. You just have to get use to it, it happens in nearly all the servers.

Go in to #barrysworld at irc.barrysworld.com and just ask if there is a CS admin, then explain whats happening.

Some clans are actually made up of twits.

Yes some clans are made up as fools, but does it realy matter, on barrysworld and the ukccl servers, there are clans, and better known players that think they own the fucking place, it's so fucking anoying, everytime i play, i use a different name, so i get called a cheat because im nearly allways hammering down on them. It seems aslong as you belong to a clan, that your above doing such things, and everybody who doesn't want to play for a clan is a cheating bastard, if you have the skills to beat those that seem to think there above everybody else. The problem is far worse here at barrysworld and the ukccl servers, than elsewhere, if you go to demon or one of the other big players out there, you don't get half of the server go running off to irc, to get the admins to check if your cheating or not, everytime you dare kill them. Your adds in PC gamer are dead right, 'barrysworld, for serious gamers' yeah maybe a little too serious, there's little playing for fun here at barrysworld, unless your name fits.

At the end of the day, there are people out there, in clans or not, who only care about winning. If they aren't the ones winning, then the guys beating them must be cheating (even if the aforementioned "must win" types are actually cheating themselves).
So they moan and squeal and make everyone elses lives a misery.
The words they speak mark them out for what they are.
Arrogant little shits who deserve to get the absolute fuck blown out of them (metaphorically speaking) and kicked off the server.
As for cheats, they are shit in human form. Let them die and be forgotten.

Besides, anyone that sits in front of their computer for long enough to turn into one of these twats needs professional help.
